Even though I wrote this, I still think it's kinda funny.

Random Pictures No. 6 has arrived for your viewing and looking at pleasure.

The sixth song is "Girls Own Love" by Andrew W.K.

"This next song is a song about not standing on the edge of the water when you can dive in." - Andrew W.K. on "I Get Wet"

This is hilarious.. I assure you..

The fifth song is "Good Day to Die" by Travis. See Doug, I told you I'd get back on it.

I hope you all had a very merry Christmas. That's right kids, just because the announcers on the NBA on ABC games have to say "Happy Holidays" doesn't mean I can't actually say "Christmas." Christmas. ChhHrriiisssSssSttmmAAaaasSsS! (That's how you say it all spooky like.)

I'm not sure how good this movie is going to be, but I love the games it's "based" on, and our sweet Lord knows I love zombies, so you can pretty much count on me going to see it. Frankly that should be enough for you people.

MERRY CHRISTMAS BEDFORD FALLS!!

Happy Holidays to all of you kids, here's my present to you and I promise it's beyond Awesome WicKed... it's ANDREW WK!!

Monday, December 23, 2002

We all celebrate Decemberween in our own way.

The true meaning of Christmas?

As anyone who knows me might guess from the name, this soumds like something I'd be very interested in: Zombie King!

For the Akira fans.

I drew this picture, and I think it's pretty good for me. By all means, go look at it.

The way December started I thought this month was going to break the "hit/visit" record by quite a large margin, a mere month after November broke the previous record which had stood fast and strong for 16 months. However, after a very strong opening week things started slowing down. I don't know if I really have anywhere I'm going with this, I just thought I'd share. As always, if there's anything I can add to make you visit more often or that you tihnk would bring new people here, feel free to give me a shout about it.

Interviews with two of my favorite full on F'in' rock voices: Butch Walker and Kevin Martin.

"The man won't stop until he's solved the mystery of the missing laughter..." - Adam, about me

"I'll stay here and sing a little song to keep my spirits up. Aye-yi-yi-yi sunshine on my shoulders, aye-yi-yi-yi to the fair I go, aye-yi-yi-yi I'm enjoying life now, aye-yi-yi-yi refreshing mango drink" - Dad from The Brak Show

February 8, 2003 has been pegged as the date that we will all as a nation be once again assaulted ninja style by the teenage turtles that are of the both mutant and ninja variety. Just thought I'd prepare you.

In other back from our childhood news, Fox is planning on remaking/relaunching/re-somethingening Strawberry Shortcake.

Saturday, December 21, 2002

The boxing matches happened today (by today I mean Friday even though it's after midnight) as planned, and it was an altogether enjoyable experience to watch and film. I'm fairly certain that some, if not a good bit of the footage filmed will make it onto the "movie". And while we're on the subject, some additional material was indeed filmed today, and Edward and I (and possibly Danny, I haven't talked to him yet to find out) are sporting the battle scars to prove it. Rock and roll.

Another matter of great importance is the fact that today (Friday, Dec. 20) is both Corey and Tara's birthday! I hope you emailed them or called them or gave them something or some such. Anyway, happy birthday to the both of you.

I hope to have a conversation like this some day..

Friday, December 20, 2002

If anyone is interested, I'd be happy to receive either or both of the following for Christmas: one or two. Any of this in a medium is also nice. Don't worry though, I don't really expect any of you to get me any of this stuff... yes, I do.

Today is the big duke-a-roo boxing match between Danny "Mister Fister" Stanford and Bob. I'll be filming the entire thing and hopefully for those of you unable to attend it'll be footage worthy of the next "movie" we're in the midst of developing. If you'd like to attend the fight get in touch with me for info.

Speaking of the previously mentioned "movie", after the fight we hope to film additional material for it, and God willing we'll all come through that without a trip to the hospital. It's also my hope that all of you will think this video's title is as funny as Adam, Danny, Melissa, Tara, and myself thought it was.

There's still time to help spread some Hip Today style holiday cheer to those unfortunate souls that aren't "Friends of Hip Today."

"Cause your head is a brick wall, and your heart is a football, and your eyes broken windows when you cry, it's a good day to die.." - Travis "Good Day to Die"

It's too freaking late for me to be trying to come up with anything for this, and yet here I am. Ok, I've got nothing, I lied. I'm not even going to try, and if you knew how many times I've had to hit "backspace" just to get this wee few sentences typed in you wouldn't want me to be trying either. I'm about two mis-strokes away from "primate" on the typing evolutionary ladder at the moment. I believe I'll go to bed and try this again when the sun is up... oh wait, the sun is already coming up.. crap.

Wednesday, December 18, 2002

So so so good. I think you know what I'm talking about... or at least you should if you're at this site. More on this later.
The fourth song is "Naked Days" by Creeper Lagoon.

Tuesday, December 17, 2002

Watch out, because I'm about to drop some knowledge on you kids. Did you know, and this is true, that Willard Scott (yes, the Willard Scott that's a weatherman on that morning news show you're never awake to see) created Ronald McDonald. Don't believe me?

Have a look at the teaser poster for what's sure to be one of 2003's biggest flicks, The Hulk. This is also our first look at what the incredible one is going to look like in the flick. I'll be honest, I'm pretty excited about seeing this.. but that really has nothing to do with the poster, as I was already excited about it.

And while I'm talking about movies that I will be excited about, here's some good news about the upcoming Superman flick.

Speaking of movies in general, I wish there was some way I could show this to every retard that came into Best Buy asking for the "fullscreen" version of something.

Monday, December 16, 2002

The third song is "Foolin'" by Def Leppard. Read below in previous posts for more details if you don't understand what I'm talking about.

The second song is "Stole the Show" by AM Radio. See the idea is you have to keep checking back all through the day to see if I've put the next song on the list up yet. Get it?

Sunday, December 15, 2002

I don't remember what I was going to say. Sorry. Maybe I'll think of it later. First person to write me an e-mail and put the word "emperor" in it somewhere gets a dollar.

Wait, forget I said that, I've got a better idea. I'm going to list 15 random songs that I like here on the site. I'll put a new one up every so often over the next few days. The first person to "collect" all 15 songs and e-mail the list to me will get some cash. It won't be like a hundred bucks, but it'll be paper money you can spend on buying something.
The first song is "Warmer Than Fire" by Ash.

Saturday, December 14, 2002

I don't know about you, but I think this is pretty funny.

"Don't obey the teacher
Who tells you to shut up
Who'll mold you into useless robots
Who aren't allowed to feel

Just quit your job tomorrow
Just quit your job today
You take a permanent vacation
You're dying everyday
"
- Mourning Widows, "No Regrets"

I doubt most of you will get a chance to, but if Equilibrium is still playing at any theater in your town you must go see it! Im not even playing around about this. If you don't, you'll wish you had.

From now until Tuesday night at midnight I will be trying my best to keep myself locked away from television so as not to accidentally see the new Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers trailer that is floating around the airwaves and the internet. I'm already excited enough about this movie without having this new trailer, which I'm told shows a little too much, spoiling any of the surprises or money shots that I'm paying to see on the big screen. Am I being too wierd? I can never tell.
On the other hand, if you'd like to see the new trailer for X-Men 2, I think that's ok.
This flick looks pretty funny while I'm on the subject of movie trailers.

Now if this doesn't look pretty wicked I don't know what does.

You know kids, there's an awful lot of stuff going on in the world at the moment to make someone, like me or you, pretty scared and/or uncertain about the future. I'm led to believe there's a threat of biological or nuclear warfare from any number of foreign powers, there's .. ahh skip it, I don't feel like getting all serious. Hip Today shouldn't bum you out. So forget all of that, everything is going to be ok.

Today's AM Radio song: "Oh Oh Oh"

The best DVD news I've heard in a while.. click1 and click2.

Andrew WK is up for two awards at the VH1 Big Awards or whatever the hell they're called this year. Anyway, here's the links to the categories he's in so you can support our favorite slammer: Heavy Lifting and Bend and Stretch.

Help me spread a little Hip Today holiday cheer!

Wednesday, December 11, 2002

Very often this is how I feel..

Have you been getting these AM Radio songs? Well, you'd better be, because they're good. Real good. Here's one of my favorites, Hush.

Tuesday, December 10, 2002

As promised here is another AM Radio song: "Becoming You" (just click on it to hear it, or right click and "Save As.." to make it yours forever)

As promised, albeit a very long time ago, here are my pictures from Halloween 2002. Let me know what you think, won't you?

I'm not saying anyone should get me the medium Red Superman shirt this website has for Christmas, but it is the one Superman shirt I really want that I don't have. That's all I'm saying.

For those of you that have wanted to watch the Shopping Cart Shenanigans Part 1 and have been unable to, hopefully this will let you do so.
Copy this address: http://www.geocities.com/hiptoday3/MOV01007.MPG
Paste that address into your browser thing, and that should let you watch it.
Let me know if it doesn't.
(As I said before, unfortunately this video cuts off right before "Part 2" took place, so we didn't get it recorded. Take my word for it though, it was far more painful, and my butt will attest to that fact.)

Monday, December 09, 2002

Check out this guy's site and Happy Holidays everybody!

AM Radio is currently one of my favorite bands, and they should be one of yours as well.... so to help speed that process along here's their song "If This Is the End of the World". (Just right click on the song title and pick Save As...)
There will be more AM Radio songs for you to download all week.

I'm feeling better than I did when last you heard from me in case you were wondering. Things still aren't as I'd like them to be with a lot of things, but I'm feeling a little less bleak about it all.

Saturday, December 07, 2002

I've known a lot of girls before
What's the harm in knowin' one more?
Maybe we could even get together
Maybe you could break my heart next summer
Why bother?
It's gonna hurt me
It's gonna kill when you desert me
...
- Weezer, "Why Bother"

Sometimes you think you've got things all figured out and that you're really in control, and then life decides to show you otherwise in a big way. Maybe I'm just a big baby, but sometimes it seems like everyday it gets harder and harder to want to be alive. Maybe I'll feel different tommorow...

Friday, December 06, 2002

I got this from Shawn in an e-mail and I'll quote him exactly..
"I am sorry because as you know I am not for spewing filth from the internet. But you are not going to believe how unfortunate this poor girl is. This is nothing obscene, but you have to see to believe it."
See for yourself.

Wow... I mean.. wow. The trailer for Equilibrium. Christian Bale further establishes himself as one of my favorite actors.

This is why my childhood was better than any kid's childhood these days: Super Golden Crisp.

Something special to see here. I thought it was anyway..

Tuesday, December 03, 2002

I'd like to thank all of you for making November Hip Today's biggest month ever, and it looks like December could be even bigger, so thank you for that as well. Once again, I have to stress to all of you that if there's anything I can do or add to the site to make you enjoy it more or get you to come more often or that you think would get more people headed this way, please let me know. OK, on to the other stuff.

There's a new bunch of pictures available for the viewing now.

David Cross has CD out now. Buy it.

I'll be getting new ink soon I think.

Monday, December 02, 2002

I'd like to thank Megan and Stephen for their recent additions of Hip Today products to their homes, cars, or places of business. These are kids who know where it's at, wouldn't you like to join their ranks?

Edward says he's going to write something, and he asked if I'd put it on the site. I said, "Yes", so you can look forward to seeing that sometime soon hopefully.

A picture of Superman I drew not too long ago.

If you can download songs off Kazaa or something like that, you'd be doing yourself a favor by getting the song "Asylum" by Silverchair.

Possibly the single best line I've ever said or ever will say: "I'm going to die just like Jeff Hardy; flamboyant and falling off a ladder." (said to Edward while I was at the top of a very tall, very uncertain feeling ladder at work)

Sunday, December 01, 2002

Go to the Guest Art section of this guy's site to see a picture I drew for him, please. I think it's an okay drawing. I mean I'm no Melissa or anything, but it's decent.

For those of you who don't watch, or have never seen an episode of Dragon Ball Z, here's an amazingly accurate representation of said program.

Which British Band Are You?

Friday, November 29, 2002

You Are Edward From "Edward Scissorhands."

You are very shy and often misunderstood. Innocent, sweet, and artistic, you like to pass your days by daydreaming and expressing yourself through the arts. You are a truly unique individual. Unfortunately, you are quite lonely, and few people truly understand you.

Take The Johnny Depp Quiz!

So what do you kids think, does this describe me? I'm sure some of you know me as well as I do, and I don't know if I should be frightened by how well I think it's pegged me. I'm going to go over here and be lonely now.

For those of you who've heard about the shopping cart shenanigans we taped the other night, those videos will be up soon, so keep checking back.

"You're all invited to the party, You know you didn't have to come, No rotten apple's gonna spoil my fun, If you don't like, what you see here, get the funk out..." - Extreme, "Get the Funk Out"

Thursday, November 28, 2002

I'll say it once again for those of you that missed it, Happy Thanksgiving to you one and all.

For those of you (like myself) that side with Nintendo in the Console Wars, here's some news I was pleased to hear.

Tuesday, November 26, 2002

So I saw an episode of this Muppet Babies ripoff cartoon called Baby Looney Tunes this morning. It may have been one of the worst cartoons I've ever seen, and it honestly makes me feel bad for the kids that are stuck with watching it instead of Muppet Babies. It worries me.

It seems like I had some other stuff I wanted to talk about, but I can't recall what any of it was, so I'll just say Happy Thanksgiving.

Which Diesel Sweeties Character Are You?

November 2002 has officially become Hip Today's biggest month ever! And it's not even over yet! At some point yesterday, the record set way back in June or July of 2001 was finally broken. If there's anything I can do to continue this upward movement in readership and visits please, please let me know, and if it's at all possible I'll make it happen. Much thanks to you all.

Which Travis Member Are You?

I was absolutely delighted by the results of this quiz.

Monday, November 25, 2002

This made me laugh a great deal. It's straight from Gabe over at Penny Arcade and even though some of you may have no idea what he's talking about, I think it's still pretty funny.
"Apparently a bunch of hacker types took a break from giggling with each other about the irony of installing Linux on their M$ Xbox and noticed they can't connect to Live. David Beck actually wrote an article sympathizing with these poor souls who took it upon themselves to totally f*ck over the insides of their Xboxes. David reports that "Numerous owners of modified Xbox units reported in forums at the Xbox Hacker site that they were locked out of Xbox Live." I'm sorry, tell me again why I am supposed to care that a bunch of thieves and jackholes can't use their modified systems to f*ck up my online games with cheats and hacks? The article goes on to quote one of these winners as saying "All I know is I have two machines--one modded, and the other not. The one that's modded can't connect at all, and the unmodded one works perfectly." DUN DUN DUN! Holy sh*t this is like an episode of f*cking Murder She Wrote. Someone call Matlock so he can solve this mind bending puzzle! News flash Hacker Bob, Microsoft announced months ago that modded systems would not work with Live. Here's an idea for all you poor saps with $200.00 coffee tables now. How about in the future you don't crack open every piece of electronics you get and fill it with illegal hardware. At the very least how about you don't bitch to me when your soldering iron escapades leave you high and dry."
You can read more on how things continued to go for Gabe by clicking here.

Target now has an exclusive RED Game Boy Advance. If anyone is curious I'm open to receiving this for Christmas.

Sunday, November 24, 2002

Watch the trailer for Bulletproof Monk, won't you?

So I'm watching Speed Racer, and one of the bad guys on the show says something along the lines of "We had no idea this Speed Racer was going to be so good!" ... and they're talking about him being good at racing. AT RACING! HIS NAME IS SPEED RACER!! That's like not expecting a guy named Fatty McEatsalot to be good at winning a pie eating contest.

Here's a Weezer survey you can take and possibly win some cash.

There will be new pictures up soon. In the meantime, be sure to scroll down and see if you've missed anything cool.

Friday, November 22, 2002

Now here's something I think we'd all love to see the return of: Classic Nickelodeon!

Thursday, November 21, 2002

"What's with restaurants that hang crap on the walls? Maybe the divorce rate is down in America because people aren't talking to each other at dinner, they're too busy looking at all the crap on the walls." - Norm from TheNorm.com

My choice for Superman, even though he's already playing Daredevil, was just chosen as the sexiest man alive for 2002. See I've been saying this for a while... I'm way ahead of the curve.

"I can't remember the last time I've enjoyed silence in an American theater. It's easy to believe that our audiences spend the day saying nothing, actually saving their voices for the moment the picture begins." - David Sedaris

I saw that new Harry Potter flick last weekend. It was pretty good, but I can't imagine ever letting kids see it. I don't think I'd be able to sit through it again, but if you saw the first one you might as well see this one because it's a lot better.

Where do YOU belong?

Wednesday, November 20, 2002

This cracked me up...

Visit James Kochalka's American Elf.

For those of you, like myself, who saw and enjoyed The Rules of Attraction, this is some news you may be glad to hear.

Angela said that the picture of me on the front page looked like Benicio del Toro. Did I spell that right? I honestly can't see it, but she's not the first person to say something about me looking like him under the right circumstances, so what do you think? If this is true I should probably be trying to talk to Sarah Galloway more since she has a thing for him.

Tuesday, November 19, 2002

For the record the guy this thing is saying I am is actually called Iron Fist, though he is often seen hanging about with Power Man. It's an honest mistake.

Yeah, you know what? If you ask me the scariest thing ever would be some kind of sea monster. Be it a water dinosaur or a leviathan or what have you, if it's in the water it's twice as scary.

Don't foget!! Tonight is the Hip Today free sneak preview of the new Bond flick, Die Another Day. If you want to go you have to get in touch with me as soon as possible!!

Important!: Hip Today is sponsoring a sneak preview of the new Bond flick "Die Another Day" on Wednesday evening. Ok, that's a bit of a mistruth because technically what really happened is I won a ton of free passes to the sneak preview from another, much, much larger website, and they are actually the one's who are sponsoring it. Anyway, the point is I've got enough of these tickets for just about everyone I know to be able to go, and I'd like to have a sort of Hip Today outing. So if you're interested in seeing a movie for free and before it's supposed to be out, and you're free Wednesday night you should find some way to get in touch with me. I don't care how. It can be by e-mail or phone or whatever, but let me know and I'll get it all put together.

Sunday, November 17, 2002

I hope this isn't blasphemous, because it seems like a kinda cool idea. I could be very, very wrong though. Either way here comes the link... Ultimate Jesus.

Speaking of comics, everyone can finally know what those t-shirts I always wear are all about. Here's your chance to learn about the characters from which the shirts I'm known for are based on. Did that last sentence even make sense?

We haven't heard from Seanbaby in a while...
"You know how sometimes you get upset that the people policing your neighborhood are a bunch of fat donut critics who spend most of their time trying to trick you into speeding tickets? It could be worse. They could be Aquaman. Imagine being in a burning building, and the person sent to rescue you shows up in his underwear on a giant seahorse. Or worse, standing on two flying fish with leashes. But don't worry, while you're burning alive, your rescuer has the fantastic ability to TALK with those fish he's using as shoes. You might as well cover yourself in gasoline and try to get it over with quick."

Saturday, November 16, 2002

Well, apparently the site has been acting weird today. Hopefully this issue will get taken care of before too long.

Speaking of fixing things with Hip Today, what can I change or add or take away from Hip Today to make you like it more, visit it more often, tell others about it, etc.? Any and all help in this area would be sincerely appreciated.

Here's some Butch Walker coolness. You should watch it.

Edward really enjoyed this, and I think all of you will as well. I shall call it "Strong Bad rips on fraternities."

Which DragonballZ Character are you

Thursday, November 14, 2002

I guess I don't have much to say, or tell you about... Sorry. On the other hand though, I'm sure there are things you've missed from past days' updates, so you should scroll down and catch up on all of that stuff. Or even give the archives over there to your left a try. And while you're looking to your left why not give some of the other Hip Today sections a try? Today's comic is pretty funny, so you could check that out, or you could buy something from one of the stores, or any number of other things. Well, I'm off to class again.

Monday, November 11, 2002

I updated the gallery that showcases some of my silly little drawings. If you want to, like, you know.. like look at them.

If you'd like to get the next three issues of Ultimate Spider-Man for only $3 (I'm talking to you, Matt), you'd be wise to call (800) 217-9158.

Jeepers H. Creepers this is frightening!

That's Mike Myers as the Cat in the Hat... as though one raping of one of Dr. Seuss' classics wasn't enough. To find out more on this monstrosity click here.
Thing 1 and Thing 2 look pretty cool though.

Speaking of movies, that Treasure Planet movie looks beautiful.

While few of you that visit the page now will probably remember this, I still think it's hilarious. Fun times that summer that seems so long ago.. even though it was only a year ago.

Thursday, November 07, 2002

This is so wrong. So very, very wrong. So very hilariously wrong.

Which Hellsing character are you?

I don't want to beg or anything, but if you've ever thought about getting something from one of the Hip Today Stores now is the time to do it, because I've just been informed by Cafepress that if the stores don't generate some kind of revenue here in the next couple of weeks they'll be shut down. I know some of you don't have the scratch to throw around on a shirt or a lunchbox or whatever, but I've got stickers in there for like 2 bucks. If you're not able to help I appreciate you listening and visiting the site as always, but if you can, please do. Thanks again.

I just wanted to say a quick little something about the new set of pictures from my birthday. I guess an apology is what I really wanted to make, because there were some people there who were a big part of the fun, and unfortunately I didn't get many or any pictures of some of them. It was just a situation where I was having too much fun and doing to many other things to be taking pictures as much as I would have liked to do. So I apologize to all of you if you went to look at the pictures and didn't see much of yourself. I'll try to do better next time.

This is going to be my new question when it comes to determining if a girl is a keeper or not.

Check out the new full trailer for Daredevil, starring our very own Ben Affleck. I'll be honest with you, the teaser trailer didn't really do much for me, but I held out the hope because I have faith in Benji, but after seeing this new trailer and the new poster I'm fully psyched for it. I will say though, that this trailer has some of the worst music choices I've ever heard. Shame on whomever is responsible. Shame I say. Shame.

For the WWE fans out there, check out this nice montage of some of the tracks from the new Anthology 3-disc set that's coming out Tuesday.

Wednesday, November 06, 2002

I've seen the Jackass flick three times now. None of the times have been from any kind of burning desire to see it, but I've enjoyed it all three times. I doubt I'll see it a fourth, but who knows. The soundtrack is totally kick-A though, and it even comes with a DVD and Andrew WK's video for "We Want Fun"... which I'm listening to right now. Anyway, here's an interview with Bam Margera and the CKY crew from the Village Voice.

"We want fun! And you better believe it! We want fun! And you know where to leave it! We want fun! No you don't understand you gotta Hey! (Hey!) Hey! (Hey!) Make your demands! We want fun! And you never can see it! We want fun! So you take it or leave it! We want fun and you might as well face it, we wanna have fun and we wanna get wasted!" - Andrew WK, "We Want Fun"

Monday, November 04, 2002

It's not the Halloween pictures I promised would be up soon, but there are new pictures. These are from my birthday and the party thrown for said birthday.

I JUST FOUND OUT ANDREW WK IS COMING TO MEMPHIS!!! IF ANYONE WANTS TO GO SEE HIM WITH ME LET ME KNOW AND QUICK LIKE! PARTY HARD!

It started snowing last night in my town on Animal Crossing!! I was so excited.

Want to see a picture of my little brothers on Halloween? I know there are like two of you who might want to see it so I thought I'd put it up here where you could click on it.

I ended up seeing the Jackass flick a second time this weekend. It was still worth every penny.

The Dangerous Lives of Altar Boys and the complete Sports Night DVDs come out Tuesday. I'm not saying anyone should spend money they don't have, but if you've got some scratch to spare these are two things I couldn't any more highly recommend.

Sunday, November 03, 2002

The G.I. Joe cartoons of my youth (and probably yours) returns to Cartoon Network this Monday night! I'm not sure exactly what time the show will be on, but somewhere between 11pm and 1am would be a good bet. UPDATE: It's on at 11:30 PM Central time.

I'm either very excited or very frightened at the possibilities, but there is going to be a MIGHTY MOUSE movie. For those of you that don't know me, Mighty Mouse is almost as near and dear to me as Superman, so I'll be hoping against hope for good things.

I saw the Jackass flick the other night. It was funny the whole way through, and that's worth my 200 dollars or whatever it costs to go to the movies these days.

Does the new intro page seem pretentious or stupid or anything to any of you? It's of me on Halloween, and I thought it was a pretty cool picture. I swear to God I'd love some kind of feedback on this.
Thanks go to Adam for taking this and other pictures.
Thanks also go to Melissa for completing my Nuno costume by making me that Mourning Widows thing for my arm.

It's called Mario Twins. Yeah, you want to go to the site for it, idiot. For those of you that were interested in knowing more about the people responsible for the Mario Twins thing, this is a good start. Or if you just want to watch the new longer version of the Mario Twins you can do that too.

Girls are evil and here's the proof. You can't argue with math people.

Requiem for the Nintendo 64.

So how was everyone's Halloween? Hopefully all you kids had a lot more fun than I did. Nevertheless, there will be pictures up soon. Did anyone do anything fun? Though I can often be heard proclaiming that I "want fun", unfortunately last night fun seemed to avoid me like I was the carrier of some kind of fun-killing virus.

The band name is still up in the air. You should help.

My latest self portrait. You'll notice my head is enormous... just like in real life.

Andrew WK will be performing on an episode of Live from the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame on either MTV or MTV2 tonight. I'll let you know the exact specifics as soon as I find out.

I couldn't quite figure this out, but maybe one of you is smarter than I am and will be able to. You have to have sound for it to work though.

Halloween fun for 2002 from Homestar Runner and the gang.

For those of you interested in the new Superman flick here's some more info.

Check out all these interesting figures and such about Animal Crossing.

I think one of Ed's best qualities is how he knows when to and when not to have more common sense than I do. Just a random observation. So what's new with you kids?

Saturday, October 26, 2002

Heck yeah I'm up for a 700 million dollar Fantastic Four flick! It's cheap and it's alliteration.

Danny returns to solid gold quote prominence:
"Hold your breath while I pimp."
"It's freaky devil in there."

I can't think of a single reason I don't need this.

Affleck was da' bomb in "Phantoms". Now, he must stop a bomb in "The Sum of All Fears". That totally should have been the tagline for that flick. My thanks to CHUD for coming up with that.

Sometimes I wish I was allergic to some kinds of soap so then I could say things like, "No, don't get that kind of soap, I'm allergic to that kind." - Chris Haley (I thought of that in the shower)

I don't care what anyone says, my boy could be perfect as Superman! For God sake's look at this picture!! It might as well just say it's a picture of Clark and Lois!

I'd like to formally thank the Renegades of Phunk for adding Hip Today to their list of links. Hopefully, some day soon their music section will feature an interview with Edward and myself about our band. Speaking of which...

ROUND 3 of the "Name Our New Band" Poll is now up and running. Help name the next Def Leppard.

If you're looking forward to the new X-Men flick, you'll probably want to check out this first wave of pictures. Looks pretty cool to me.

In case it wasn't clear from my earlier post, I enjoyed The Ring. I certainly don't think it's as scary as some people are making it out to be, but it is pretty creepy. I will say that it has one of the best creepy scores I've ever heard. Hans Zimmer is to be commended. Also, I'm now suggesting that you go see Rules of Attraction. I think you'll either love it or hate it, no middle ground.

And now for a nice slice right out of my life by James Kolchalka...

Tuesday, October 22, 2002

So I saw "The Ring" this weekend. I didn't think it was that scary.. I mean it's just a ring, right?

I also saw Rules of Attraction. It was good. I'm not saying you should necessarily see it, but I liked it... so do whatever you like with that information.

If you like Adult Swim, here's a bit of good news.

Wow, after having a not so great day the last day I worked, and leaving with a not so good feeling about working there, I had a day today that left me feeling like I couldn't like working there anymore. It's a good feeling. So yeah, my job satisfaction is back at a very high level... which is good.

There's been an influx of new visitors here to Hip Today as of late, and I'd like to say I hope you all keep coming around.

Though some of you have already discovered as much, I've added a new photo album to the Gallery. Check it out, won't you?

Get a healthy dose of Mattitude.

For some reason over the past few days I've really been considering buying an Xbox (though I think I shall take to calling it an "Xbob" from now on, as that name makes me happy in a way "Xbox" never could). I'm not sure what has lead to this sudden urge to get one though, because I really hate the things. I'm totally anti-Xbox! The only thing I can figure is Microsoft has some kind of subliminal hypnotizin' business going on that I'm at the mercy of. I guess what I'm getting at is if you see me trying to buy an Xbox, please stop me.

Come on now, honestly, that's just too funny. I defy you to tell me I'm wrong, because you can't.. because it is.

The 4th and final album of pictures from the Florida trip are now available for your viewing pleasure.

For those of you that I didn't hang out with directly after having it done, I got another tattoo over the weekend. This brings my grand total up to three. This one is definitely my favorite if how aesthetically pleasing it is to me is the only factor involved. I'll try to get a picture of it up as soon as possible if any of you want to see what it looks like.

First things first, a very HAPPY BIRTHDAY to our very own Edward Stanley!

Math is fun!

So as I'm leaving class this morning, I hear three kids talking about what prescription type drugs they're about to be doing that afternoon. How familiar they were with pharmeceutical names I normally only hear on commercials or in the doctor's office really creeped me out. The world kinda scares me sometimes these days.

The language is a little rough, but the Ozma love is very apparent.

A great review of The Transporter can be found here. I hope all of you will be seeing it tonight as I hope to be doing.

I'm still waiting for someone to drop me a line about the Halloween ideas.

"I would, however, like to communicate something very important to those readers who do creative work of any kind, and I use creative in a sense so broad that it includes the production of a sandwich. You do need a lawyer, and you don't know sh*t about contracts. I know you might think you do, because you're so f*cking smart and everything. People who write contracts are operating on a level that you can't even imagine, and just because you know all the words they're using doesn't mean you understand their ramifications when they're all put a certain way. These people make traps out of words, not just metaphorical traps but real-ass, Goddamned traps that can cinch around you and steal your work and make you never want to write another word so long as you draw breath." - Tycho @ Penny Arcade

Sometimes it seems like this rain is never going to stop... but then again, sometimes rain can be nice. Especially at night when it's quiet. But not so much when you're having to walk in it to get to class.

You kids may have noticed the new front page picture. You may have also noticed that it's the greatest thing ever! In case you don't know what's going on, it shows me and Matt Pott (Hip Today's first Australian fan) hijacking Yoshi from the Mario Bros. Matt's also responsible for the art in said picture. It's pretty awesome.

If anyone wants to get me this so I can have yet another coat to help me look like Brodie, please feel free.

Speaking of looking like people, has anyone got any costume ideas for Halloween yet? Drop me a line and let me know if you know what you're going as or if you've got any ideas for what I should go as.

It's funny how you can wake up thinking things in your life are going along a certain path only to have things happen by the end of the day that show you that you're not on that path at all. Or if you are on that path, it hasn't taken you to where you thought it would. But what do I know, I'm too dense to tell when a girl who's standing right next to me is trying to pick me up when it's obvious to everyone else in the immediate vacinity. Even her sister that's had one.. or seven too many. Does this mean I should start drinking too?

ROUND 2 of the "Name Our Band" poll is up and running again, so please go vote and be a part of rock history by helping name what will surely become one of the biggest bands ever. And if you leave a comment, please leave your name along with it.

Not only is this crazy, but it further fuels my fear and hatred of birds.

Just a heads up for you kids, Edward's birthday is Friday.

Saturday, October 05, 2002

Well, in a little over three hours the "big decision" day will be all up on me like some kind of angry spider-monkey. I should have been asleep hours and hours ago, but just like always, here I am. To those of you that wrote me with concern towards what was going on with this "crossroads" I spoke of thanks for caring, though I'm sure it's really nothing to spend to much time worrying about. I know that's bad grammar, but there's not much I can do about it.

On a lighter note, here's what working at Software Etc. was like.

Do you ever get the feeling that you are at a crossroads in your life? Or that you are coming to a very clearly designated fork in the road, and whichever path you take, your life will probably never be the same. I think I may be at one of those points right now. It's like I may or may not have two options of what I'm going to do on a particular night, and I feel like whichever one I choose to do, I'll never be able to go back to that other possibility and see how it might work out. Does that make sense at all to anyone? It kinda scares me because I don't know which way to go, and I feel like whichever one I pick is really going to say a lot about me, and the path I'm deciding to take with my all of my life... or maybe I'm over-thinking things..

It's finally official, there will be a Teen Titans series. For those of you that don't know, supposedly this series has been rumored to be in development for many years now.. but all of that was rumors until just now I guess. And get a load of this, a Duck Dogers show? I know most of you don't care, but for the one or two that might I hope you enjoy.

I'm enjoying working at Best Buy more and more the more time I spend there. Or at least that's how it seems after today... but that may just be because of two things that happened. Feel free to ask me about them. My discount kicks in on Tuesday, so I'm pretty psyched about that as well.

Since I'm fairly certain none of you are idiots, I'm sure you're looking forward to the new Lord of the Rings film that will be hitting a theater near you on December 18th (Danny's birthday). If you'd like to have a look at the new trailer for The Two Towers, I'd suggest you go here.

If you live in or near Toronto, you can check out the only Japanese flick I want to own as badly as Battle Royale, VERSUS!

If you missed the making of Andrew WK's latest video on MTV, you can catch it at these times on these days: 9/27 -1:00 AM, 9/30 - Midnight, 10/2 - 12:30 AM, 10/3 - 2:30 AM, 10/4 - 4:00 AM, 10/5 - 1:00AM
I assume all of these times are Eastern, so adjust accordingly.

Though I have no idea if this game will ever hit American shores, Japanese Xbox owners will be getting a game called N.U.D.E.. You heard me right, N.U.D.E.! I'll let you check the site out and see if you can decipher what it is exactly that this game is about.

Speaking of Japan, I finally got to watch my Shaolin Soccer DVD!! For those of you that haven't heard me go on about this flick yet, I ordered it from Hong Kong and it got here wrapped in paper the likes of which they don't make where I'm from, so fragile, so refined. So yeah, I got to watch it finally tonight and it was everything I'd hoped it would be, plus there were some nice behind the scenes dealies and special features. To be honest there were even more special things than I was able to watch because the DVD is from Japan... and it's all in Japanese with a few random English labels that let me get around adequately enough. Not to fear though, the good Japanese people were nice enough to include English subtitles for the flick itself. Though I have to admit there were several scenes where something must be lost in the translation.

My, but birthday cake rules. And what's even better, I got two awesome birthday cakes this year. I felt very loved for the most party on my 22nd birthday. So thanks once again, to all of you who contributed to that "making Chris Haley feel loved on his birthday" phenomenon. Did I spell that right? I scarcely remember feeling so unexpectedly loved, since senior year in high school when my French 2 class threw a going away to college party for me one day instead of having class. I was the only senior who took French 2, and the 5 or 6 other people in the class were juniors, so they all got together and had a party for me. I really had no idea and I was so shocked I didn't even know how to respond. Life can be nice like that when you least expect it sometimes.

Wow, that's the first extended bit of me just talking to you guys I've written in quite a while. What do you think, should I do more of it, or stick to the quotes and short little bits of news? Or possibly some kind of combination of the two? I don't know why I even bothered writing that, because I know that though a pretty good number of people will read this, I know getting people to e-mail me about anything on this website is next to impossible.

All you need to know about what's been going on with the new SUPERMAN flick over the last few days.

Anyway, COMING SOON: New pictures from Florida, my birthday, the party, and more!!

:: how jedi are you? ::

Someone asked Andrew WK if the pic of him with a super bloody nose had anything to do with him doing cocaine, and if he did drugs.
This was his response: "The bloody nose was the result of a self-smashed slam into the face. It is not the result of cocaine. I do drugs when I want to, but I've never been a huge drug user, it usually gets in the way of me trying to jump high or dance fast, but that's just me. Sometimes drugs can help you jump higher than ever, but then without it maybe you couldn't jump as high... I don't know. Drugs haven't been a big thing but I like drugs and believe in them and respect them. I just think people should do what they want to do, because they want to do it. And they shouldn't feel bad about not doing drugs, just like they shouldn't feel bad about doing them. Do stuff because you really want to. You know what I mean? If you're friend asks you to take out the garbage you might think, "I really don't want to...", but then you think about how happy it would make your friend if you helped them out, so you think "I really do want to make my friend happy, so I guess I really do want to do it, to make them happy." You know? But with drugs and stuff, you have to think a little harder - it might make you're friend happy if you take drugs, but is it going to make you happy? Taking out the garbage is different than taking drugs. Protect yourself and be smart. Do tons of drugs if that seems like the right thing to do. Don't do them at all if you don't want to. Either way you're being true to yourself and that's what matters. Here, you can party any way you want, as long as it's hard and with all you're heart. Your friend, Andrew W.K."

By the time you read this, there will have been another update to the Friends of Hip Today, and once again I wanted to let you all know that you're all more than welcome to e-mail me with any pictures or comments or whatever about me and/or Hip Today that you'd like to see added to the F.O.H.T. section.

In other news, it's Friday the 13th, but it's still a beautiful day outside, so try to get out and enjoy it at some point. Well, I mean it's a beautiful day where I am, so that means it's a beautiful day everywhere.. right?

For those of you still in school or college, this website could come in handy.

Andrew W.K. will have a song on the Jackass The Movie Soundtrack, but what's even better news, is that the song will be what some might consider the ultimate Andrew W.K. song, We Want Fun! If you haven't heard this song, you should definitely endeavor to do so, and look forward to hearing Andrew perform the song on an episode of NFL Under the Helmet. In case you don't know the show airs on Saturday mornings on FOX.

Apparently, Chris Cornell and the members of Rage Against the Machine have patched up their differences and have decided to try another go at being a band. They are currently in a studio in L.A. working on new material and have adopted the name Audioslave (as opposed to the name they were originally going to go with, Civilian). No word on when to expect an album though.

This is the world we live in now... you can actually buy this. If you had told me such a thing was going to be possible when I was 10 I would never have believed you.

I wish I had some new news to tell you kids, but nothing is really leaping to mind. Hmmm, let me think.... oh wait I've got a question. Who came up with the Super Mario band name on the Poll comments? I wish that comment thing asked you to leave your name. Speaking of the poll...
I was asked tonight when Round 2 would be up, and I said soon. So get those votes in while you can!

Let's see... what else.. oh yeah, the Friends of Hip Today section is growing rather quickly here lately and there's even more new additions to come, so go check it out. If you've got something you'd like to say about me or the site or a pic of you or anything that you'd like to see in the F.O.H.T. section e-mail me and let me know.

Speaking of friends, several of mine have mentioned my birthday being pretty soon here in the last few days, so if there's any of you out there who were considering getting me something, and God bless you if you are, here's a link to my Amazon Wishlist which I was told was quite helpful in finding somethingI'd be interested in being given as a birthday present.

Hopefully you kids gave that AM Radio song I told you about the other day a listen, and in an effort to keep pushing these guys on you here's another one of their great songs called Hush.

Anybody remember those Mr. Men and Little Miss books? I do, and it turns out they've got a pretty cool website.

Whadda ya think of the new front page? Not that most of you will notice, but I've made a lot of cosmetic and not so cosmetic changes to a lot of the rest of Hip Today. You can tell me what you think of it as well.

And now a feature that's always great, quotes from Danny...

"I don't wanna be lonely, I just wanna be alone.." - Silverchair, "Across the Night"
Speaking of Silverchair, their new CD, Diorama, came out Tuesday. You can get it for $7.99 at Circuit City or $8.99 at Best Buy or a higher price anywhere else. The point I'm trying to make is you really need to go get it. I've never really been a huge Silverchair fan, yes, they've had some songs I liked but I don't think I would say I have ever really been a fan. Not the case anymore. I don't think I've ever seen/heard a band make sucha huge jump in the quality of music they were playing from one album to the next like this band has done between Neon Ballroom and Diorama. If you're not going to go buy it, which you certainly should do, at least get on whatever you illegally download songs through and get the song "Across the Night"... then be prepared to not get what you are expecting to hear from Silverchair.

This is pretty funny... well sorta.

I was just reading an art magazine, and I've decided I too would like to be interviewed about drawing and comics and art and such. So if you're interested in interviewing me please let me know. Thank you.

"And now it's time to say, what I forgot to say, baby, baby, baby, Come on what's wrong? It's a radiation vibe I'm groovin' on, Don't it make you wanna get some sun, Shine on, Shine on, Shine on" - Fountains of Wayne, "Radiation Vibe"
Words to live by if you ask me. If you don't own at least one of their albums you should stop what you're doing right now and go get one, or at least download a bunch of their stuff.

As you may or may not know, my birthday is in less than a month. It's on September 17th to be precise, and I've started having some people ask me what I wanted, so in an effort to help you along here's my Amazon.com wish list. While I do recommend you have a look at it, I don't recommend you actually buy anything off of the list from Amazon.com, I suggest you look thru it to get some ideas, and then (should you be so inclined to want to get me something) go to a store like Best Buy or Barnes & Noble to actually buy the thing. Or you can order it through Amazon and have them ship it straight to me.

How'd you like to see yet another shot from my upcoming guest appearance on South Park?

And if you'd like to have a look at a bunch of my other silly little drawings, you should click here.

You know what I'd really, really apprecaite? If you would go and check out this new stuff. Come on, I asked nicely.

How'd you like to see the new preview for next year's sequel to X-Men? I thought you might.

Update: I'd like to thank Megan and Randy for signing the petition for me. You're good, good people.

I heard a great quote tonight, "Worrying is a lot like a rocking chair; it gives you something to do, but it doesn't get you anywhere." Write that down.

Check out this news release on the new Superman figures from DC Direct.

No psycho slayer is going to get between you and your right to life. You're an ass-kicker, a charge taker, and if need be, a monster masher. You're level-headed in sticky situations, you trust yout instincts, and you're not afraid to get a little dirty while getting the job done. Simply put, you rock! But don't get carried away. Even though your little brother might act like a creep sometimes, you definately shouldn't be driving stakes through his heart!

Hey, sign this petition for me, ok? Thank you very much, I appreciate it.
And don't forget to scroll down and check out any stuff you may have missed over the past few days.

Update: I'd like to thank (G.I.) Jack for being the only person so far to sign the friggin' petition for me. Much appreciated my friend. Hope the shoulder is doing well.

As most of you already know, I really love Mega Man. However, most of you probably don't know that there is currently a Mega Man animated series airing in Japan based on the Mega Man Battle Network games for Game Boy Advance. Since the game will probably never be a big enough hit over here in the States to merit the show being brought over here, I felt it was in my best interest to get some copies of the show straight from Japan. After a few minutes of viewing these shows however, I realized that I do not, in fact, speak or understand Japanese. I then set out to find subtitled versions of these same episodes. I was able to complete this mission with a high level of success. And since my victory is your victory, I thought I'd share the actual translation of the Rockman EXE (as the show is called in Japan) theme song....
Guide your Navi towards the future!
There isn't anywhere we can't go!
You and I can soar past the wind!
A mystery is spreading in the heart of town.
The clues to the elusive reality are slipping away.
Can't sit still any longer... Want to find it now.
Plug in your courage and plunge forward!
It's becoming urgent... We'll solve that puzzle!
Oh Rockman, together we'll find the answer.
Even if we have to battle on till the very end...
I won't give up... as long as you're there, I won't give in!!

Take a look around your room, or house, or wherever it is that you're reading this. I bet the walls are looking like they could use something new and exciting on them. How about some posters? Or perhaps these posters?

I just added a new photo album to the Pictures section of Hip Today. It's at the bottom of the list, labeled Random 3. You should go check it out.

And now, let's hear from Seanbaby on Green Lantern: Green Lantern's ring was the most powerful weapon in the universe except against the color yellow. I'm not kidding, his weakness was the color yellow. You might think he'd try to keep something like that secret, but there is nothing Green Lantern liked to talk about more. He'd wave a fist at the bad guys and shout, "Justice will prevail today, villains! Unless you learn that my power energy cannot affect that which is yellow!" And to make Green Lantern the most unlucky person in the universe, his nemesis Sinestro had a ring that made things that were yellow. That's like twin brothers fighting, only one gets baseball bat with spikes and has a giant purple head.

I got an e-mail a few days ago from someone telling me of a band that was going to be coming here very soon, but I can't remember who sent it to me, or what band it was. So if you were that person, or if you know of some good bands that are going to be coming here soon, please please call me or e-mail me and let me know.

Also, in other music related news, the good people at 94.1 The Buzz have been good enough to listen to my requests that they start playing Weezer's Keep Fishin' more often. This pleases me greatly. So if you're in my area, keep your ears open for it.

Why aren't we talking about Ninja Gaiden?
Come to think of it, why aren't we talking about Strider either?
And here's some news that's sure to please Chris McCarver.

You know, I had heard that this whole Dance Dance Revolution thing was earning it's title as it was truly becoming a revolution of the dance dancing variety. However, I had no idea that the people that were telling me this weren't lying until within the course of a week I saw these machines in every arcade I happened by with throngs of sweaty teenagers huddled about them like apes around the Monolith in 2001 (A Space Odyssey). And since this revolution is now upon us, I would be remiss in my duties if I didn't help you get to know the people you'll be facing in the Dance Dance Battles that are sure to take place much sooner than we would hope.

The all new He-Man and the Masters of the Universe cartoon debuts on Cartoon Network this Friday, and I don't think I should have to say anything else about the subject. I'm going to trust that you're intelligent enough to know that you shouldn't just want to watch it, you should need to watch it. Here's three pictures from the show for you to check out as well.

Or you can join the Captain Planet Foundation.

How'd you like to win a trip to see Def Leppard in concert, front row, all expenses paid? How'd you like to take me if you enter this sweepstakes and win? Well, you had better like it, because if you win you'd dang well better take me.

Since I know you kids look to me to help you form your opinions on what's good and what is not in the world of music (I'm kidding of course), I felt it was my duty to make sure all of you know about two bands.
The first one is a band out of Alabama whom I have been a really big fan of for quite some time now called Pain. You should be able to check some of their stuff out on their site, but if you can't listen to any of it just go ahead and buy one of their CDs from their merchandise section. It'll be well worth it I assure you.
The other band is Kevin Martin and the HiWatts. For those of you that were Candlebox fans (I count myself as a very vocal member of that category) you may recognize that name. Regardless of whether you recognize it or not, or if you liked Candlebox or not, you should check this band out. Choice rock and roll my friends.

For those of you that didn't get to make it to the San Diego Comicon this year, but would have liked to, here's a nice rundown of all the cool (and lame) toys that were on display this year.

Speaking of rundowns, it's time for me to start with my promised re-telling of some of the antics from my recent trip to Florida. First up on the agenda is a little bit of business that I'm going to give a brief set-up. I had a yellow legal pad with me in the car, and as we were driving down, Danny said something really funny and I said "Holy crap, you've got to write that down." So for the rest of the trip anytime something funny would be said or a funny town or business was seen, Danny would write it down. So here are some of the highlights...
From Noon to 5 AM it's ballz out for Krystal!
The Frankin F'in' Mint: We know you want this Monopoly board with gold pieces and this knife with a painting on it.
(as we were in or approaching Birmingham) I don't give a Birmingdamn.
Carol's Act of Faith Hair Care
Sneaky Pete's
Mr. Bottle Shoppe
Gay Week's Flowers
(as a Volvo big rig passed us) Danny: I want a Volvo Big Rig. He's probably got a kitchen in there.
Godfather's Pizza
(after seeing a sign proclaiming the Ultimate BLT was available at Arby's) Danny: I've searched the seven seas, for the Ultimate BLT.
(as we were entering Atlanta) Danny: We comin' up into Hotlanta, straight out of Pimpfis, TN.
(to the tune of Big Pimpin') Q-Tippin' I be cleanin' wax, Q-Tippin' I be playin' my sax
Danny: I'm the Coleslaw king of Sea World
Splendid China Theme Park
Vote for Dr. Karve
Big Rascal Pit Bar-B-Q

More to come...

As I was driving a few minutes ago I realized that I've seen a lot of good movies here as of late, or within the time frame of this year or so anyway. My point is I felt like listing as many of the good movies I've seen that I feel are worth you checking out: Panic Room, The Sum of All Fears, Lilo and Stitch, Death to Smoochy, A Beautiful Mind, The Bourne Identity, Reign of Fire, Insomnia, Ice Age, Signs, wait I just blanked out... umm.. well crap.

Speaking of Signs, I went and saw that flick with Corey on Tuesday night, and it was as good as he said it would be. I'm really not going to spoil any of it for those of you who haven't seen it, but I will say that I wouldn't recommend seeing it if you are the type of person who gets movies stuck in their heads like I am, because I've been scared to be in my house by myself at night now ever since I saw it. Really, really well done flick though. Maybe too well done, the guy (writer, producer, director M. Night Shm.. I don't know how to spell it) is a freakin' genius.

Wow, I've really slacked off on the site since I've gotten back from Florida. I apologize to both of you who check the page out on a quasi-regular basis for being so busy that I've neglected you. I'll try to make it up to you starting now with a link to a wallpaper of possibly my favorite picture of Superman EVER.

I'm still working on figuring out my new camera and I haven't had a chance to figure out how to upload pics to the site yet, but as soon as I do (which could be in the next few minutes) I'll let you know where and how you can check them out. Until then you can check this out.

Which Rocky Horror character are you?

Tuesday, August 06, 2002

Well, I'm back, and boy do I have stories upon stories to tell, but tht'll have to wait for tomorrow because I just got in the house after driving for 16 freakin' hours. I drove the whole f'ing way down and back...if I wasn't before, I'm definitely a man now. So yeah, I'll get to the trip stuff tomorrow, but for now here's some random stuff to try to make up for the time I was gone.
The Herculoids, Thundarr, Ninja Turtles.
Thunder, thunder, thunder...
Seanbaby versus the Robots!
The newest addition to my family tree, my uncle's newest kid, Jack Haley.

Monday, July 29, 2002

Well, kids, by the time most of you read this I'll be long gone either on my way or already in sunny Florida, "America's Wang", for a well deserved (I think at least) vacation. I'll miss you all, and of course I'll miss making your lives just a little hipper. If at all possible I'll update the site while I'm down there or on the road. See you again soon, with lots of pictures and tales to tell.
Much love,
Chris Haley

p.s. Don't forget to remind me to tell you what famous person I met today at work when I get back.

Which cartoon character are you?? Find out @ blackhole

I didn't even know they were making King of the Hill figures, but sure enough, they are.

Friday, July 26, 2002

Hopefully all of you didn't miss Weezer on Letterman last night like I did.
Well hello Mister Fancy Pants, it's the Bruce Campbell Soundboard.

"So take me in your arms again, meet me in my dreams again, so, what is it worth, I'll sell my soul, what is it worth, only you know..." - Ash, "A Life Less Ordinary" (I mean come on!! How awesome is that?! What else do you people need?)

Since I know he (along with the rest of you) will be reading this I just wanted to say that it was a pleasure finally meeting Jim last night... even if "cancer" doesn't start with an (Andrew W.) "K."

I rather like the new background in the "Pictures" section. There's also a pretty cool new Spider-Man picture up today.
And now a mess of other cool comic pictures: The Punisher, Ultimate Iron-Man, Mr. Fantastic, Batman, Supergirl(s), the World's Finest, the JLA, The Thundercats, Tom Strong as well as a cool gorilla.

Take the

I know this could very well change at some point in the future, but for the moment I'd just like all of you to know that if I should die before I have a chance to say other wise I'd like for my tombstone to say, "I Got Wet Without Even Trying." In a cool but dignified font if possible. So yeah, if I die anytime soon or before I've said I want something else instead be sure to tell whoever is making my tombstone arrangements.

In other news, flying dinosaurs terrify me. Also, good for BMF Samuel L. Jackson. I liked him before, but now it's even more.

If you're in the mood to hear something good you'd probably never hear otherwise you can click here to listen to "My Way" by Butch Walker (the former frontman of Marvelous 3) from his new album, Left of Self-Centered.

I just saw that Jimmy Neutron movie tonight, and it was pretty funny and pretty good at the same time... if such a thing is possible... and it is.
