Everybody look at me..

Freddie Mercury made a surprise appearance in Invincible Iron Man #10 as a trace subject model for Salvador Larroca.

I smell a meme coming on..

Care to join in?

The greatest thing in the world..

In my last post I told you that you needed to read that comic as it would play heavily into this post, and honestly, the rest of your life.
I hope you have done so and adequately prepared yourself.
When I read that comic I realized that the Knight's dialogue in the second panel was the exact sentence I hear Curt say before every photograph of him ever taken.

I immediately set out to find a photo of Curt on which to place the appropriate word balloons.
I thought this would be a fun way to gently poke fun at one of the best individuals I have ever known as well as doing my own quasi-mash-up-type thing.

So, before I get to the rest of the story, let me share with you the first picture of Curt I came across..

Hilarious, right?
It works so well, and it was just random that this was the first picture of him I came across.

Here's where shit gets interesting though.. and when I say "interesting", I mean to say, better than anything ever.

As I was quickly searching for a photo of Curt, I found a photo not of Curt first.

I found this photo..

It was then that I realized I had inadvertantly stumbled upon the funniest and greatest thing I had ever beheld.

I don't know why, but for some reason even though the dialogue never changes, seeing it on different pictures and imagining that the person or character in said image is saying it as they are doing whatever they are doing just keeps being hilarious to me.

I have made HUNDREDS of these since Tuesday and they all make me laugh.
I'm not even joking.
I am being so sincere.

That's enough to give you the idea, but there are a lot more to come, and they are all hilarious to me, and I have to assume they will be to you as well.
It is my hope that you will all tell your friends and join me in making many more of your own.
If you do, please email them to me so that I may post them here for the future enjoyment of all.

I'll tell you..

Did you guys know that the weasel-y guy that figures out that Bruce Wayne is Batman and wants to blackmail him in The Dark Knight was in Iron Man TOO!
It's true, and I have screencapped to prove it.

Go ahead and click on it.
He's one of the random military control room guys in the scene where Iron Man is being chased by the two jets.
I think this is an even bigger deal than Christopher Lee being in The Lord of the Rings and Star Wars.

They should be going..

Superhero Video Posting Week : Part 2!

Wouldn't that Iron Man movie have been just a little better if this had been the theme song?

I guess there's always a chance they could use it in the sequel.
The only question now is who can we get to sing it...

Time is flying like an arrow..

When April and I team up, good things happen.

I drew this and then she colored it digitally.
Little Iron Man is basically a big part of our lives every day.
All of our future collabs should be signatured CASH.
You know, because you can make the word "cash" out of our initials.
That's the real reason I thought of it.
Someone needs to design us a cool "CASH" signature logo that is not the Johnny Cash one.
I want cool logos for all of my collaborations with awesome people.
This is me looking at you Dylan.
(I'm only half-serious though, as I know Dylan is a very busy dude.)

Speaking of awesome people, why aren't all of you guys updating your blogs right now too?
Get to it!

Life with Little Iron Man : Part 3

Apparently The Punisher is adamant in his insistence that whoever is helping Little Iron Man with the sunglasses continues to do so.

Check out these awesome sunglasses I found on the floor at the comic store!
Don't worry though, I didn't keep 'em. I turned them in like you're supposed to do. :)

Life with Little Iron Man : Part 1

The only other movie he's seen three times is Leaving Las Vegas... which he thinks is a comedy.
This was a button for my movie that came out!
Did you see it?
Boy, I must've seen it 3 times!

Boys don't cry..

You are not doing well at any subject and uh if you continue on this path, you will be in the fourth grade for the next four years.
Look what can be yours for the low, low price of $424.99!

It's never too late to drink..

Anyone seen it yet?
I'm looking forward to everyone's thoughts.

I never thought..

My favorite part is going to be when he throws up in that helmet.
The new Wired has an article on the new Iron Man flick and "the Evolution of the Exoskeleton."
You might enjoy reading it as you get yourself ready for the unveiling of Project Rooftop's Iron Man : Invincible Upgrade contest winners.
Oh, and to a lesser extent, the movie itself.

Human again..

I don't know if the show's going to be any good, mostly because most of Marvel's cartoons since the 90s (some would argue it goes back further than that) have been awful, but for the moment, I will say this promotional art for the new Iron Man cartoon looks very slick.

Runnin' wild and free..

5 Reasons Toy Fair 2008 Was Rad!

I wish I could tell you there was some kind of way I wasn't going to buy that Iron Man Happy Fun Playtime Dress-Up helmet set, but I don't want to lie to you.

It's Incredibly Well-Endowed, But Tragically Invisible Erection Action Aquaman!

Who couldn't use a Kurt Russell action figure?

Minimate Nova! Complete with severed head!

THE SPIRIT!
Best for last? I think so.

No matter which way you go..

You'd better believe he's Iron Man.
CBR has ton of great screen grabs from last night's Super Bowl ad.

Don't hold me back..

Tony Stark is Iron Man.
There's
a new international trailer for Iron Man up.
I thought this might be information you'd want to know.
I'll warn you though, the size of the video is very, very small.
Still worth watching though.
I re-scanned and colored this for the occasion.

One must be neat and efficient..

Thor #3 Page 15
Thor #3.
Page 15.
AKA The best single page in a Marvel comic in a long time.

Tuesday, September 25, 2007

And give away absolutely nothing..

Thor #3 Page 15
Thor #3.
Page 15.
Or as I like to call it, "The Best Page Marvel Comics has published in a Long Time."

This page is following Iron Man finally getting his ass very throroughly kicked.
I could just post awesomeness from this issue for the rest of the week.

I can't stand it..

Iron Man Triumphant!
Photo provided by me. Minimates for photo also provided by me.
So
the trailer for Iron Man is finally available to all of those who didn't see it on the Con circuit.
Though I attended SDCC, I didn't get to see it because the only panel I attended was the Episodic Gaming panel.. thank you very much, Curt.

Anyway, the trailer. Wow.
I never would have guessed in a million years this was a movie anyone would be able to pull off well, but all signs point to awesome if this trailer is any indication.
Of course, I know a 90 sec trailer and a 90 minute movie leaves a lot of room to screw the proverbial pooch, but as far as trailers go this one has me on board as much as any I can remember in recent memory has.

Well played, Favreau, well played.
