It's time for some more random photo phun.
French film magazine CineLive has a new shot of Christian Bale as The Dark Knight.
Is it just me or does this new version of the suit look a little too busy?
Amazon spills the beans, yet again, on an exciting upcoming (and previously unannounced) release.
And while we're on the subject of The King, this may be one of the greatest things I've ever seen.
Superman.
Drawn by Jack Kirby.
Inked by Darwyn Cooke.
The only way it could be any better was if he was riding Devil Dinosaur.

You can't tell me this is anything other than the greatest thing you've ever seen.
No exaggeration, I will probably buy a case of these.
I'll have a set for work, a set for the car, a set for the living room, and a set for the bathtub.
I'm already imagining the second wave which, in my perfect world, would be made up of :
Big Barda (Full Armor), Kalibak, Highfather, Mantis, and a Parademon.
This of course leads to the third wave :
Big Barda (let's call it her alternate costume), Metron, Forager, Desaad, and Steppenwolf.
Anyone agree or disagree with my character choices?
Ok, DC Direct, let's get started.

An avalanche of absolute awesomery!
The Kirby DC Kover Kollection!
The first images from the upcoming Superman Doomsday DVD have been released.
Look for this to be hitting stores on September 18 (a scant day after my birthday), though I hope to get to see the sneak preview premiere in San Diego.

Ye Olde Comick Booke Blogge has a Kirby meme going on that's pretty fun. I couldn't think of anything funny to add, but maybe you can. Do us and all your fellow Hip Todayers proud.

I don't know if you guys have ever heard it, but "Abra Cadaver" by The Hives is like the perfect song to listen to if you're reading Jack Kirby New Gods comics featuring Orion.
I'm dead serious.
