Don't do anything stupid with that..

If you're thinking of asking if I'm going to buy these, clearly you don't know me at all.
For more information on how DST is trying to salvage their The Spirit license that the movie so emphatically tried to sink*, click here.
* - By which I mean, the way in which they are suddenly making Minimates of the comic version of The Spirit instead of just the movie version.

I can't stand it..

Photo provided by me. Minimates for photo also provided by me.
So the trailer for Iron Man is finally available to all of those who didn't see it on the Con circuit.
Though I attended SDCC, I didn't get to see it because the only panel I attended was the Episodic Gaming panel.. thank you very much, Curt.
Anyway, the trailer. Wow.
I never would have guessed in a million years this was a movie anyone would be able to pull off well, but all signs point to awesome if this trailer is any indication.
Of course, I know a 90 sec trailer and a 90 minute movie leaves a lot of room to screw the proverbial pooch, but as far as trailers go this one has me on board as much as any I can remember in recent memory has.
Well played, Favreau, well played.

We feel so left out..

The Hulk is cowering from the pummeling he's received courtesy of The Thing.
I hate having to wear glasses.
I was at The Vault on Sunday night, and this girl (Katie) drew a picture of me really quickly as a joke.
She drew me wearing glasses which immediately put me off, because when I think of myself, I don't see glasses.
Apparently it's all people can see though when I'm wearing them.
A different Sunday I was at The Vault (it's my Sunday night thing) and a friend of Katie's told me I looked like a different person when I took my glasses off.
I would do contacts, but I've got this disease where I can't shove things in my eyes.
I've tried.
I wish I knew more about that eye surgery with the laser beams.
You know the one?
The one where you can shoot laser beams out of your eyes.
That seems like the way to go.
Thoughts?

Happy Birthday Batman!

INTO BAT-ACTION!
On this day in 1939, Detective Comics #27 was published and so today we celebrate 68 years of Bat-Mania!

This Batman is on my desk at work.
Here's a little bitty Batman I painted on a little bitty canvas.
Here's a Batman wallpaper I made. Pencils by Ed McGuinness. Inks by Dexter Vines. Colors by me.

Let's do this thing.
I need to play some catch up with things I've intended to talk about, so I may have to do the quick and dirty version of some of these.
If that doesn't make you want to read The Spirit I don't know what will.
A quick little comic I did on a Post-It note about year ago. Click on it why don't you?
Rock 'n Roll Monster! (If you've seen the MST3K episode where they watch Merlin's Shop of Mystical Wonders then you know exactly how that should be read.)
Ah, happier times. Sigh.

Whoo!
Another 5 Reasons Toy Fair 2007 Was Rad : MINIMATES Edition!
1. Multiple Spider-Man centric lines, including our first Todd McFarlane Spidey.
2. BACK TO THE FUTURE!

3. DC MINIMATES ARE GO!
4. Marvel Zombies! Our first Minimates with exposed brains and bones.
5. For A Few Dollars More. This means I'm actually going to own a Clint Eastwood Minimate. I cannot tell you how exciting that idea is to me.
