If this guy can act, then I'm fine with him being cast as Superman and being done with this whole to do once and for all.

I'm frightened by how famous these kids are probably going to be within the space of a few weeks. "Famous" on the internet I mean, but mark my words this thing is going to spread like wildfire.

As far as bobbleheads go, I think these look pretty cool: one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten, eleven, and twelve.

A pretty good interview with Australian monster, Nathan Jones.

If I could be honest with all of you about two things right now I'd like to, and since it's my website, I'm going to do just that.

1) I honestly feel like there's been some good stuff going on here on the site here in the last week or weeks as far as content, and I hope you've all been catching it all. I'd also like to say that as has always been the case, if there's ever anything you want to say about the site or anything you want to say and have it put on the site, feel free to let me know and it will happen. Also, if there's ever anything you think I could do to make you enjoy Hip Today more, be sure to tell me.

2) I'm honestly a little bummed out that more people haven't e-mailed me about hearing the mp3 we've got available for download. It's not a full band thing, it's just an acoustic cover of an Ozma song with Edward playing guitar and me singing and Adam helping with the recording, engineering, producing end, but I think it's pretty good and I thought there would be a bigger response than I've gotten so far. I guess that's it.

I appreciated this a lot more now that I'm doing some skateboarding. I'm making progress, but I'm sure that's what many of you thought would be happening.

For those of you that are interested, I do indeed need this.

I bought and watched the Dimension Collector's Series Edition of From Dusk Till Dawn last night. I enjoyed it thoroughly. You know who else enjoyed this movie? Seanbaby! Let's hear his thoughts on the film now.
Salma Hayek may be the living definition of "hot" in that movie.. but maybe that's because she doesn't say much.

I meant to post something about this sooner, but I'm only human so I forget things sometimes. Anyway, on to what I was going to say. I ran into most of the Renegades of Phunk at Chili's the other night and though not much happened in the way of shenanigans since they were about to be on their way out and I was there with a group of people that didn't need to be corrupted by the Renegades just yet, it was pretty cool being introduced as "Hip Today". It was kinda like that comic in the 70s where Spider-Man met Superman... if Superman and Spidey were websites in the greater Memphis area.

Because Hip Today cares about all of your individual interests, here's some news strictly for Edward. (Everyone else is welcome to read it as well though.)

And since I gave you all that news on Superman and Wonder Woman's movies the other day here's some news on the new Batman movie due out in 2005.

Speaking of movies from Warner Bros., June 3, 2003 will see the DVD release of The Animatrix, a companion film made up of 9 short films written by the Wachowski Bros. (creators of The Matrix) and directed by some of the biggest names in anime. You can check out a 10 minute preview of the first film by clicking on the link above.

The first recording of "the band" that I'm a part of is now available for downloading if you'd like to hear it. If you're interested e-mail me and let me know you want a copy and I'll send it to you.

I honestly thought that we had gone as insane with the Mario Tennis as was humanly possible last week, but last night (Sunday night) proved me wrong when we (Adam, Corey, Danny, Edward, and myself) played until 4:30am. Ok, Ed left before that proving he's the only sane one out of the bunch, but he didn't miss being there for the entire time by far. I'm scared of what will happen if we should find ourselves in a postition to play this game again. I swear I think if I hadn't turned the system off we'd still be playing.

Possibly good news on the new Superman flick.
Followed by some not so good news for the Wonder Woman flick.
Followed by some not so good news for the Superman flick.

"When God was handing out talent, this guy grabbed the clipboard and sent home everybody who was unlucky enough to be in line behind him." - a quote about Butch Walker from R&R Magazine (a magazine about rock and/or roll)

Entertainment Weekly has taken it upon themselves to come up with a list of the 25 greatest episodes of The Simpsons. See what you make of it.

I've again forgotten what number we're up to but the next song is "Silkworm" by Arlo. I would also recommend the song "Linger On".

"Neither of us asserted our personalities." - Edward talking about a conversation we had while I was half asleep

While I'm on the subject of bands, get a load of this news, Alex Ross has done the cover art for Anthrax's new album.

Gabe says eating one of these is like God smiling at you, and I'm inclined to agree with him.
