I sketched this up quite a while ago and then April and I colored it and it's just been sitting, collecting digital dust in a folder ever since.
I'm sorry, Batman.

There it is, get it!
The world must have been turned topsy-turvy (a hyphenated word I absolutely love), because both April and Sean have updated their respective blarghs.
I really enjoyed both of their posts, and you might too, so go check it out.
In reference to my previous post about watching Godzilla : Final Wars last night, I had to try to explain Godzilla and his inherent and total dominance in the field of awesomeness to April.
I was amazed to find she was not aware of Capital G's greatness.
Even more amazing though, was that she didn't know anything about Godzilla besides that he was from Japan and she could pick him out of a line-up.
At one point during the opening credits he let loose with a blast of his patented Atomic-Breath which elicited a confused and incredulous "WTF" from April.
I had to explain to her that Godzilla is like the Superman of monsters.. in that he's the best.
To which she replied, "Couldn't you also say he's the worst, then?"

It was the start of the summer..
April has updated her blahg again.
Feel free to peruse it.
The universal and resounding indifference my Kid Flash redesign was met with has me both puzzled and pensive.

You hurt me!
Guess what day it is?
It's Comic-Con Photo Parade Batday!
I got to see the newly refurbished Batmobile.
Curt and I were working on a plan to steal it that never panned out.
Then I met Batman!
I cropped out the creepy Robin he had with him.
Trust me, things are better this way.
Then I met this Robin who wasn't particularly creepy at all.
He was more friendly than creepy.
Great costume too.
Then April met Catwoman!
This was about as close to seeing Catwoman walk out of the comic as I think was possible. She had the costume, the look, and the attitude all down perfectly.
This was definitely the hottest picture I took at the show.
April was a little flustered after this.
Here's another picture of that Catwoman I found elsewhere.
Yowza!

Now that the local has taken effect.
April's got a great new entry on the upcoming changes DC has in store for Supergirl.
UPDATESpeaking of all things "super", The Bargainist has the scoop on getting the Ultimate Superman DVD Collection (you know, the awesome 14 disc, $100 one) for $31.21.

Plug in the drug machine.
April has written a funny blog entry about vegetarian disbelief, goth mothers, and the looming terror of scrapbooking.
Go read it.
UPDATE!

We're gonna get it started.

A quick sketch of some kind of alternate, possibly Legion-involved costume for Superboy I did on a post-it note.
Also, feel free to notice two things.
Item number the one is that April has updated her new blog.
Item the second is that my co-hort (hyphenated?) Curt Franklin has begun a blog as he needed something to link to in an upcoming biography. He's already feeling the pressure of The Curse of the Need for Content so why not drop by and give him a hard time about it.

April had the best birthday ever.
Yesterday was April's birthday, as you might have noticed from the big pink and white notice below.
I don't know if she had the most fun she's ever had on a birthday (we're all going to do something about that part on Friday though), but I was definitely able to get her the best presents ever.
It's Guy Smith and Edie Sawyer (aka The Orphan/Mr. Sensitive & U-Go Girl) from X-Force/X-Statix go-go dancing by Joel Priddy!
These two are April's favorite comic characters and the fact that they're together and doing something cute like go-go dancing is right up April's alley ... so, you know, double extra special.
My girlfriend is a superhero!
It's April as Bizarra by Dean Trippe!
April gets to live the dream and be an adorable (but super-tough) superhero and fly through the skies all while not being dressed like a porn star.
I'll let Joel and Dean post the full pictures on their own respective sites since it's their art.
Giving her these presents was one of the most exciting and best things I've ever gotten to do, and her excitement and disbelief and overwhelmedness (not an actual word) was absolutely awesome.
