Zhinxy is going to do it.
She's going to review EVERY issue of the Knightfall story (from Batman comics (from that most terrifying of times for comics, the 90s)).
I applaud her for this, but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't also fearing for her sanity.

But if it's not so bright..

I drew this for my friend Liz.
The lines the two animals are saying are lines I recalled from songs on a mix cd she made me for my birthday. It was great.
I have no idea why I drew what I drew, but I knew I wanted to use those two lines.

Back to work..

- April took this awesome Polaroid. I don't know what it is about it, but it blows me away. I don't understand Tumblr (why does everyone hate "e" now?), but she's got other pictures on there as well.

- Funnybook Babylon is Downcounting Backwards.

- I'm going to buy this shirt. Or, by all means, feel free to buy it for me since my birthday is in about a month. Size small.

- Kinda makes me wish all of Scott Pilgrim was in color.

- Jason is completely awesome at coming up with things that look cool enough that I wish they existed. I'd ride that thing everywhere forever.

Always on the outside, always looking in...

Dylan and I have made what is essentially a perfect mix.

It is called Ping of Pong.

On the fourth of July (July 4th) while listening to his "High Five!" mix, I had the idea that Dylan and I should collaborate on a mix for all of you nice people. The idea was that we'd take turns back and forth until the mix was completed with each new song having to somehow relate to the song before it.

From that, Dylan came up with the idea of calling the mix "PONG" (... you know, because we were going back and forth).

I thought this was particularly brilliant of him.

Going off around two hours of sleep, the title "Ping of Pong" (see King of Kong) made me giggle like a school-girl so I shared it with Dylan.

Apparently he hadn't had much sleep either, because he liked it too.

Then he made the awesome cover you see above and it suddenly became a great title no matter how much sleep you've had.

We're planning on offering an explanation of sorts as to how the songs are connected at some point soon, but I'd love to hear any of your theories on how/why one song leads to another.

Stop yelling at me..

I know this guy.

Tears would make love grow..

Robin is a friend of mine who moved away to Boston.
However, this does not mean she is any less of a Memphis girl at heart, or that she has lost one iota of her "Tiger Pride".
She has started a new blog called Dirty South, Displaced.
She's been writing about what the Tigers' basketball season means not just to her personally, but to the city itself and all of us that are a part of it.
This post (entitled I am going to throw up on my shoes) is especially well written and poignant and would be a great thing to let friends who aren't from Memphis read to understand what it's like to be from here a little better.

Stayed up one time.. (Updated)

Seven posts no one cares about in two days?!
Clearly I've gone "Content crazy".

Anyway, I've finally got all my birthday photos sized, edited, uploaded, and annotated for you to check out.
All you've got to do is click on that picture up there.
You'll see pictures of things I got, the birthday party that was held on Friday, and then photos from my actual birthday on Monday.
I'd also like to take this time to say that my Friend-Set is the best.
April is bestest, prettiest, sweetest, make me feel special-est girlfriend ever.
Extra special thanks to Curt, Sean, Joe, Clayton, Bonnie, Joel, Edward, Lynn, Nathan, Katie, James, and anyone else who helped organize or helped make my party a lot of fun.
I apologize to all of the people (of which there were many) who were at the party that I was too drunk or too busy partying to remember to take pictures of. (Dangle there you lousy preposition!)
So, yeah, I hope you enjoy them.

UPDATE : There were some perfectly nice and pretty pictures of April in that set that she didn't like so I had to delete them. I tell you this only because I want you to understand why there are no pictures of April.
Also, based on which pictures have been looked at (ie. the ones James is in and the one of the Dwight bobblehead), I know that at this point Maggie is the only person who's checked them out.

There it is, get it!

The world must have been turned topsy-turvy (a hyphenated word I absolutely love), because both April and Sean have updated their respective blarghs.

In reference to my previous post about watching Godzilla : Final Wars last night, I had to try to explain Godzilla and his inherent and total dominance in the field of awesomeness to April.
I was amazed to find she was not aware of Capital G's greatness.
Even more amazing though, was that she didn't know anything about Godzilla besides that he was from Japan and she could pick him out of a line-up.
At one point during the opening credits he let loose with a blast of his patented Atomic-Breath which elicited a confused and incredulous "WTF" from April.
I had to explain to her that Godzilla is like the Superman of monsters.. in that he's the best.
To which she replied, "Couldn't you also say he's the worst, then?"

Did I mention I met Gabe and Tycho in San Diego?
Well, I did.
Tycho was friendly and talkative. We talked about iTunes and their podcasts.
Gabe was busy playing Pokemon on the DS with some kid.
At first I was a little upset about this because it meant I didn't get to talk to him, but in retrospect, it makes me happy. I mean, one that little kid was getting to have fun and two, I don't know what I would have said to him.
Probably something stupid that I'd then wish I hadn't said.

I don't mind.

My friend, Kat, got another tattoo of artwork I've sent her over the years. (She also has a chrishaley robot tattoo.)
This one is of a zombie, and the tattoo artist really made it look exactly like the way I drew it.
Crazy.

So as you may have already heard, Team Awesome As Hell did not advance in the Fist-A-Cuffs Tournament, but I feel absolutely no shame in being defeated by a team as powerful and as good natured as Hackenslash.
Joel and Dean even did up some amazing post-match artwork that made me want to cry with good feelings over what great guys they are.
