I'm not kidding, his weakness was the color yellow. You might think he'd try to keep something like that secret, but there is nothing Green Lantern liked to talk about more. He'd wave a fist at the bad guys and shout, "Justice will prevail today, villains! Unless you learn that my power energy cannot affect that which is yellow!" And to make Green Lantern the most unlucky person in the universe, his nemesis Sinestro had a ring that made things that were yellow. That's like twin brothers fighting, only one gets baseball bat with spikes and has a giant purple head.

I got an e-mail a few days ago from someone telling me of a band that was going to be coming here very soon, but I can't remember who sent it to me, or what band it was. So if you were that person, or if you know of some good bands that are going to be coming here soon, please please call me or e-mail me and let me know.

Also, in other music related news, the good people at 94.1 The Buzz have been good enough to listen to my requests that they start playing Weezer's Keep Fishin' more often. This pleases me greatly. So if you're in my area, keep your ears open for it.

You know, I had heard that this whole Dance Dance Revolution thing was earning it's title as it was truly becoming a revolution of the dance dancing variety. However, I had no idea that the people that were telling me this weren't lying until within the course of a week I saw these machines in every arcade I happened by with throngs of sweaty teenagers huddled about them like apes around the Monolith in 2001 (A Space Odyssey). And since this revolution is now upon us, I would be remiss in my duties if I didn't help you get to know the people you'll be facing in the Dance Dance Battles that are sure to take place much sooner than we would hope.

The all new He-Man and the Masters of the Universe cartoon debuts on Cartoon Network this Friday, and I don't think I should have to say anything else about the subject. I'm going to trust that you're intelligent enough to know that you shouldn't just want to watch it, you should need to watch it. Here's three pictures from the show for you to check out as well.

The first one is a band out of Alabama whom I have been a really big fan of for quite some time now called Pain. It'll be well worth it I assure you.
The other band is Kevin Martin and the HiWatts. For those of you that were Candlebox fans (I count myself as a very vocal member of that category) you may recognize that name. Regardless of whether you recognize it or not, or if you liked Candlebox or not, you should check this band out. Choice rock and roll my friends.

For those of you that didn't get to make it to the San Diego Comicon this year, but would have liked to, here's a nice rundown of all the cool (and lame) toys that were on display this year.

Speaking of rundowns, it's time for me to start with my promised re-telling of some of the antics from my recent trip to Florida. First up on the agenda is a little bit of business that I'm going to give a brief set-up. I had a yellow legal pad with me in the car, and as we were driving down, Danny said something really funny and I said "Holy crap, you've got to write that down." As I was driving a few minutes ago I realized that I've seen a lot of good movies here as of late, or within the time frame of this year or so anyway. My point is I felt like listing as many of the good movies I've seen that I feel are worth you checking out: Panic Room, The Sum of All Fears, Lilo and Stitch, Death to Smoochy, A Beautiful Mind, The Bourne Identity, Reign of Fire, Insomnia, Ice Age, Signs, wait I just blanked out... umm.. well crap.

Speaking of Signs, I went and saw that flick with Corey on Tuesday night, and it was as good as he said it would be. I'm really not going to spoil any of it for those of you who haven't seen it, but I will say that I wouldn't recommend seeing it if you are the type of person who gets movies stuck in their heads like I am, because I've been scared to be in my house by myself at night now ever since I saw it. Really, really well done flick though. Maybe too well done, the guy (writer, producer, director M. Night Shm.. I don't know how to spell it) is a freakin' genius.

Wow, I've really slacked off on the site since I've gotten back from Florida. I apologize to both of you who check the page out on a quasi-regular basis for being so busy that I've neglected you. I'll try to make it up to you starting now with a link to a wallpaper of possibly my favorite picture of Superman EVER.

I saw Reign of Fire last night, and I don't know if any of you give two monkeys about my opinion, but if you do I'd definitely say go see it. Best dragons ever. I played kickball again earlier tonight (Sunday night, though it's technically Monday now). We had twelve people playing.. I think that may be a record for us. I have to admit that while the idea of having a lot of people who weren't part of the "regulars" wasn't something I was looking forward to, having a ton of help when it came to fielding was a very pleasant experience. Dustin gets better every time we play though, and that scares me. Keeping him and Danny's sister (I know her name but I'm not sure how to spell it so I'm not going to risk it) on opposite teams proved to be a good idea though... to be honest though sometimes it seems like he could play the entire outfield by himself.

Not that I didn't like, enjoy, maybe even love video games before, but now I find my days spent with talk of the differences in Halo and Gunvalkryie on Xbox (a system that prior to this job I would have avoided talking about for any reason), and why I need a Neo Geo cabinet arcade system in my house, and how great this Christmas is going to be for Nintendo and it's "Gaming Cube." I didn't used to talk about things like this... or if I did it was at least much much less frequently and with much less fervor. It's times when I see funny things like this that it really makes me wish I had my own place with some roommate that would do something stupid to my Gamecube. I mean, sure, on the one hand, my Gamecube would be off God knows where in God knows who's hands having God knows what done to it, but on the other hand I'd have someone to choke to death, and if that doesn't make for some funny and interesting stories at the next social gathering I attend then I don't know what will.

Now here's a superpower to have if ever I have seen one!

I'd be lying if I said this game didn't seem fantastically made for me and you and the rest of the zoo. I felt like rhyming for some reason. I hope it wasn't too stupid, but that game really does look cool.

Why the hell am I sitting here writing this nonsense?! I've got a huge freakin' test I really should be studying for, but instead here I sit listening to Ken's theme from Street Fighter 2 and telling you guys about some videogame with dinosaurs and who knows what I'll try to get you to check out next. So yeah, I hope you appreciate it. Now if you'll excuse me, I have to get back to playing air saxophone to Ken's theme music.

If you've been around me lately, you've probably heard me yammering on and on about this game that's coming out for the PS2 on my birthday called Kingdom Hearts. If you haven't been forced to hear me go on and on about it then I'll let you listen to me now. It's a collaboration between Squaresoft (the creators of Final Fantasy) and Disney. Not since peanut butter and chocolate got together has their been such an awesome alliance of almost unholy proportions. Then, to make my opinion of the game even higher, I e-mailed Gabe from Penny Arcade when I heard that he had a Japanese copy of the game, and told him how I was thinking of getting a PS2 just for that game. He told me I would not be disappointed. That my friends is good enough for me. Here's his review of the Japanese version.

This game may be too addictive. It's called Collapse and I don't want to stop playing it ever. If you liked Tetris or Dr. Mario or Bejeweled or any games like that I believe you'll enjoy this as well.

I've begun the process of talking with the kids from the band Miles From Somewhere about becoming their new singer. Notice, I said "begun" because nothing has really taken place yet other than me saying, "Someone told me you guys were looking for a new singer and that I should give you a call." and one of them saying "Cool, I can't talk now because I'm studying for a final, but we'll talk more this weekend." That's really about the extent of it, but maybe something cool will come of it. Never hurts to be in another band.. just ask Blink 182's drummer.

There are many truths in this world we live in, but one that will probably always hold true is that if Pixar makes a movie, I will go see it. I'm hoping all of you feel the same way, because I just got a glimpse of the superb cinematic goodness that they will be unleashing on us for the next three years.

Can this be true?! George Lucas admitting The Phantom Menace wasn't as great as he told us it was?!

I don't know how many of you are into that show Buffy, but I read an interesting rumor/clue/teaser about it from one of the shows producers that said the death at the end of this season will be the end of one of the couples, but will also be the beginning of "SuperXander". I have no idea what that means, but I like the sound of it for some reason. Even though I'm sure there is no connection between the two, the picture they showed of Xander (or Nicolas Brendan if you prefer) really made me stop and realize he'd make a pretty decent Superman for the upcoming flick. He couldn't be any worse than Brendan Frasier. In fact, I'm going to go as far as to say that he'd be a whole lot better.

If you're like me you're over 6 feet tall and named Chris... but you're also probably excited about the Spider-Man movie. Know what else I'm excited about? The Daredevil flick starring our very own sweet Benji-boy, Ben Affleck. I remember before we saw the first pictures of Spidey's costume there was all kinds of debates and such over how they were going to ruin it, and as of late the exact same thing has been going on in with Daredevil. Well, apparently this is the first actual picture of the costume. It's not the greatest clarity, but I still think it looks like it could be pretty cool. If it makes any of you feel any better, I'm feeling pretty friendless here lately. I certainly miss the whole having friends thing... a lot. So yeah.. I guess that's all I have to say really as far as that goes.

Also, for the none of you that care, we wrapped shooting on "Escape" last Friday. It was a pretty long day, or at least it felt like it at times, but it was most definitely worth it. Felt good to have accomplished something worth doing. The editing process is going as quickly as Danny can make it go, and I think he's doing a great job with it so far. The rough cut we've got of some of the scenes is so good musically it would make you cry. For those that are interested, the destructive symphony known as Megadeth has broken up after 20 years of scaring parents. This is apparently due to an injury sustained by founder and frontman Dave Mustaine that has caused serious nerve damage to his left hand and arm.

OH MY GOD!! Clearly I'm dreaming... because if I'm not and that and this are real then the world may be getting too cool for me to handle. Not only did I see this today but I also saw huge Spider-Man displays at the grocery store, Hardee's, Wal-Mart, and Target... and if these surely aren't signs of a new world order of coolness then I don't know what is. I was already excited about the fact that Sean Connery has signed on to play one of the lead roles, but I learned tonight that Eddie Izzard may also be playing one of the main roles in the film. So I saw that Blade movie. It was pretty good. It's not so much fine art, but it was pretty good. It was directed by Guillermo del Toro, who will be directing the big screen adaptation of Hellboy. What's more important for me to talk about though was the trailer for Jason X. That's right he's back from Hell. And in the future! And on a spaceship!! Whoo-hoo! I'm counting the days... that was sarcasm. The tagline for this flick is "Evil Gets an Upgrade." Don't worry though, I've taken the guesswork out of figuring out what the upgrade is, it's that it's going from crappy to craptacular.

If you're one of the people who was supposed to do something with me Saturday night and never called me back, today might be a good day to call me. Since words on a screen can't really give you an impression of what tone of voice I'd be using if I was just saying this to you, don't think that I'm using an angry or upset tone. Just a normal tone.

I've just heard Sum 41's song for the Spider-Man movie and I think it's pretty good. They mention bringing back the 80s, cereal, and the Legion of Doom... and that's good enough for me. Oh, and apparently they live for "rock" and it's what they're all about.

There's a fortune that a cookie gave me that I keep on my refrigerator that says, "Don't give up yet, the best is yet to come." Kinda makes you feel good doesn't it.. but then again it also told me my lucky numbers are 11 19 25 36 40 48 and 1 8 9. Stupid cookie.

Remember yesterday when I said I added like 30 new pictures to the photo album for Version 2.0 of Escape? Well, today I added somewhere around another 30. So if you want to check them out you can do that.
