There was a point not so very long ago that I felt like I was ready to give up on music. Not just on pursuing it in some fashion, but I was just kinda sick of it all.
Sick of listening to it.
Sick of old stuff I liked.
Sick of trying to listen to new stuff.
I was just sick of music.
I didn't want to listen to it at work. I didn't want to listen to it in the car.
Sick of it.
I've gotten over it though, and I'm glad that I have.

i can relate.
sometimes it seems like it's all been done before or anything that's shoved in your ear as "new" or "innovative" was "new and innovative" 10 years ago and the mainstream's just catching up now and marketing it in it's bright new packaging for the mall wandering masses. i find that as i get older it's harder to discover new music or i just can't be bothered too.
then i buy and read tons of comics and books until i hear something that pulls me out of my music funk.

April - I should say that the period of time I was talking about was actually quite a while ago, so I've long been out of it. I just thought about talking about it yesterday for some reason. I think the reason was actually because I'd been enjoying a lot of new music lately (or new to me music). Like that British Sea Power album, and the new Nada Surf, and old Nada Surf, and the new Phantom Planet stuff, and that Fratellis album, and so on and so on, etc.
