The first footage from Robert Rodriguez' adaptation of Frank Miller's Sin City.
Is it just me or is Jessica Alba attractive?

Other movie news.. Return of the Living Dead is next up on the remake list. It begins filming next month in Romania, and the sequel for the film will be shot at the same time.
The Rock is now officially signed to play the lead in the John Woo's feature film version of '80s arcade favorite, Spy Hunter.

Does anyone remember a show called Spitting Image?
I remember it coming on at some point after Saturday Night Live when I was somewhere between 5 and 8.

Full track list, details, etc. for the upcoming The Very Best of Van Halen 2-disc set featuring three new songs with Sammy Hagar.

One time a guy handed me a picture of himself, and he said, "Here's a picture of me when I was younger." Every picture of you is of when you were younger. Here's a picture of me when I am older. You son of a bitch, how'd you pull that off? Let me see that camera... - Mitch Hedburg

Fast Times at Hero High.
If you dig comics or humor based around comics at all, you'll enjoy this.
You may also enjoy it if you like spoofs.. I know some of you do not though.

Interested parties can download a new Megadeth song by clicking here.

Apparently, Finland has learned how to clone humans, and they've cloned two of Mauxfaux's resident shredder, Josh Hawkins, and put him in the band Nightwish.
Watch the video proof for yourself.

Adam has been known to tell me I look like Benecio del Toro at times... and I've never wanted that to be true more than I do right now after having read this story about Scarlett Johansson.

A fine article on Stan Lee from USA Today's Money Section.

I still need to see Jersey Girl and Walking Tall. It's not news, I just didn't want to forget.

Fantastic Nintendo news from E3.

Link prepares for his next great adventure. Wow.

A good rundown of Nintendo's E3 announcements, complete with pictures of the new Gameboy DS.
Just one of the tidbits about the DS: "..the DS supports 16 player wireless at 100 feet apart! Instant chat, draw, sending pictures to each other, and... If you get in range of other people, the DS automatically turns on, and activates online mode if you want."

This chicken may be the scariest looking thing I've ever seen.

I think the Burden Brothers are pretty badass as far as straight up rock bands go, and I think you may very well feel the same way after you watch this.

Speaking of rock bands, Robert "Mutt" Lange, producer of such quintissential rock albums as AC/DC's "Highway to Hell" and "Back in Black", Def Leppard's "Hysteria" and "Pyromania", and more, will be producing the next album by The Darkness.

PAC-MANHATTAN!

Larry Wachowski, one of the co-creators of The Matrix, is soon to have his penis removed. Why would I make this up?

Also, in news to me, Sophia Coppola is married to Spike Jonze... but they're getting divorced ..... and she may be seeing Quentin Tarrantino now.

The Simpsons strike is over.

Ashton Kutcher and Johnny Knoxville may star in the feature film adaptation of the MÖTLEY CRÜE autobiography "The Dirt: Confessions of the World's Most Notorious Rock Band".

I'd consider it a personal favor from you to me if you would go and read this article on Godzilla.
That sounds like I'm joking, but I'm honestly not.
It discusses the original version of the film that most people have never seen, that stands as one of the most fervent anti-nuclear films ever.

Two aerial antennas met on a roof, fell in love, and got married. The ceremony wasn't much, but the reception was brilliant.

It's.. it's just so beautiful.

Bart: You know, Grampa kinda smells like that trunk in the garage
where the bottom's all wet.

Lisa: Nuh-uh, he smells more like a photo lab.

Homer: Stop it, both of you! Grampa smells like a regular old man,
which is more like a hallway in a hospital.

The cast of Rocko's Modern Life explains how to stay safe on the internet.
It skews a little young, but it's nice to see Rocko and the gang doing something.

Jessica Alba has joined the cast of Robert Rodriguez' silver screen adaptaion of Sin City. She'll be playing "Nancy".

Watch a sneak peek of Danny Phantom, a show I currently enjoy.

"It's a long way to the top if you wanna rock 'n roll."

If you're here, chances are you know me.
Chances are also good you know I'm in a band.
We're called MAUXFAUX.
If you haven't heard us yet (or even if you have), I'm going to have to insist you check this out immediately.
http://www.purevolume.com/Mauxfaux

It'd would certainly mean a lot to all of us in the band and me personally.
Have a look around at the pictures and what not, but most importantly, give our tunes a listen.
You can even legally download one of them.
Then take the poll to let us know which song you liked the best.
Then add that page to your favorites and check back often, as all information regarding the band will be available there.
Also, should you like what you hear, we're relying on you wonderful guys and girls to help us spread the word and get that link out there to as many people as is humanly possible.
Thank you in advance.

my best to you always,
chrishaley

How about a look at some screen grabs from the Uncut Japanese version of Kill Bill Vol. 1?

USA Today has news on some of the spceial features and goodies on the upcoming Star Wars Original Trilogy DVD Collection.

Alex Ross has done two poster mock-ups for a Superman feature film starring Tom Welling (of Smallville).
For the full story as well as a look at the pictures click here.

Mitsuteru Yokohama, the creator of Gigantor and Mighty Robo, has died at the age of 69 due to a fire at his home in Tokyo.

Richard Linklater is working on a follow-up to Waking Life called A Scanner Darkly.
I say follow-up only because this film too will be turning live-action footage into animated sequences.

Because no one demanded it, production is moving forward on Police Academy 9.

Speaking of sequels, Carrie-Anne Moss has signed on for Tom Cruise's Mission: Impossible 3.

Details on the special edition DVD releases of Predator and The Bourne Identity (which will include a new beginning and ending).

The following is straight from Dark Horizons:
Jurassic Park IV
For a long time we've heard talk about Spielberg's 'great idea' for the story of the fourth "Jurassic Park" movie that has gotten people exicted about the franchise. Well long time DH informer 'Undergear' finally has the scoop on what that idea might be:

"All these rumors about Jurassic Park 4 are false. They are retooling the script (out to big name doctors right now) But here's the worst part... All this talk about this "brilliant" idea, well... I cannot begin to tell you how bad his idea is...The government has trained dinosaurs to carry weapons and use them for battle purposes. I am not kidding!"

A great Rolling Stone article on The Burden Brothers.
A band which I endorse 100%.
You should too.
Or at least check them out.

I know Spike TV isn't too worried about any controversy stemming from things said on their new animated series This Just In.
How do I know they're not worried?
Because no one is watching it.
Someone has to watch it to get offended and start complaining.
That's just how these things work.
I happened across it last night, and I've got to say, it really wasn't that bad.
Maybe people should start watching it.
I guarantee if they do, someone will find something to complain about.. and fast.

Ever wonder what went on during the time when Palpatine trained Darth Vader?

I didn't get to see The Punisher this weekend, but I wanted to see it.
I did draw a quick sketch of the guy though for Shawn.
That has to count for something, right?
Well, hopefully, I'll see it at some point this week.
Here's the sketch.

(Shawn didn't ask for the sketch, I just know he likes The Punisher, and I hadn't seen him in a while, so I thought I'd draw him something.)

HOLY HELL!
ASH are going to be involved with Star Wars in some way!
Here's the details.

Eddie Izzard has been added to the cast of a new movie with an fairly impressive cast... not Sin City impressive, but it does share an actor or two with said film.

This is pretty funny.
