i always feel like i'm outta the fanboy loop everytime i hear somebody go all nuts about akira. there's no doubt that this is a visually stunning looking film but storywise i never got it. maybe i need to watch it again.
but what i mostly remember is the annoying ending of the the two main characters seemingly doing nothing but screaming each other's name for the last half hour of the film...
i prob have to watch it again. i remember that "i was under the influence" when i first saw it. maybe one has to be coherent to fully enjoy it. but i'm prob wrong about that too.
