It's never been like that..
“When I was in high school, I didn’t have a parent figure. I didn’t have a sense of being cared about,” Waid said. “In January of 1978, I went to see ‘Superman: The Movie’ – it changed my life.”
Waid said that the film’s message of hope had a profound impact on him. “[It was] the single most transformative moment of my life.” A misty-eyed Waid then said that Superman was important because he “was someone who cared about everybody,” regardless of race or class or any other determining factor.

A crisis so severe..
There are also a lot of ridiculously awesome things to be found on ebay.
Here we see a page of original art that features Superman heat-vision blasting a werewolf in the face.

You make me smile..

April got our pal and super-artist among mere mortals, Joe Quinones to do yet another Superman riding Devil Dinosaur for my birthday!
I cannot believe it's taken me this long to post this as it is unbelievably awesome.

When was the last time I held you all through the night..

I just realized my last post about the "new" Luthor/Brainiac "team-up" was a great companion piece to this older post of mine.

More on the NEW Luthor/Brainiac team-up!

(Note: He's looking at Brainiac's wang.)
In case you didn't believe me, enjoy these actual panels from Action Comics #872.
Some are even in the appropriate context!

For one last time..
Comic Reviews in Under a Minute!
Action Comics #872
New Krypton - Part 7 : Brainiac Lives
Writer - Geoff Johns
Artist - Pete Woods
Wha happa?
Superman gets mad when his wacky, just-got-here-from-out-of-town relatives kill people.
Zod's troops are dicks.
There is a group of "military monsters".
Metallo is back with a goofy new outfit!
Metallo and Reactron are KBF (Kryptonite Buddies Forever)!
Brainiac is so naked and Lex spends all his time staring at and/or touching him. (A whole new take on the old Luthor/Brainiac team-up.)
This happens..
There is some fighting.
Something bad happens. (No spoilers here, folks.)
And the verdict is?
Great issue! Check it out!
UPDATE! - This was my 2,001st post.

We can all know everything..

As some of you may or may not have noticed, actual content around these parts has slowed down quite a bit as of late.
Some of you may have also already deduced the reason for this, but should there any non-detectives amongst the teeming internet throngs I'll tell you that it is because most of my free-time (is that supposed to be hyphenated?) is devoted to Curt and I's webcomic, Let's Be Friends Again.
If you're reading this chances are you're already very aware and are already a fan, or at the least a visitor to said webcomic.
The picture up there is a wallpaper I made from the first panel of our latest comic that you could use for the same purpose if you so chose.
I am of the belief that this most recent comic represents the best comic artwork I have ever created as it pretty much looks (more or less) exactly how I imagined it would look when completed.
Also, I think it's pretty funny.
I mean, it's got everything.
It's got Superman being a dick in classic Silver Age style, it's got Lois Lane being brutally murdered, it's got biting commentary on what a terrible idea that DC vs Mortal Kombat game was.
What else could comic and/or video game fans want from a free webcomic?
Nothing. That's what.
So the thing is I'd like more people to see this particular comic, as I am proud of it, and I think people might enjoy it if they saw it.
And if they enjoy it, they might check out some of the others.. which they also might enjoy.
And if they enjoy several, they might keep coming back for the new comics.
And if they keep coming back for the new comics and enjoying those, then they might tell a friend or two about it, and the cycle I described above might repeat itself.
So far we at LBFA have been very fortunate to have gained an already awesome audience due to multiple linkings from such incredible internet institutions as Lying in the Gutters and SuperPunch.
We are incredibly thankful for the opportunity to be seen that this has afforded us, but we also know that there are a lot more people out there that are going to have to be convinced to come check us out.
This is where you can come into play.
I've previously had blog posts I've written here be mentioned or linked to on places like Neatorama and Blog@Newsarama.
Those were really exciting moments for me to be sure, but I've never had anything to do with whatever transpired to get those posts in front of the appropriate eyes.
So what I'm asking of you guys and gals is this : If you know how to get the appropriate eyes (comic sites, video game sites, general awesomeness sites) pointed towards that comic in particular and Let's Be Friends Again in general, I would really, really appreciate it.
I thank you for taking the time to read this, and assure you any help towards this end you can provide will not go unnoticed or be forgotten.
