If anyone cares, I've made a birthday wishlist on the Amazondotcom. So if you're interested in seeing the things I'd like to have, but won't get, feel free to go have a look.
Which is not to say I won't get great things, because my friends and family always get me neat stuff that I love very much, it's just never what I'm expecting.

Joe Ranft of Pixar died tragically last week when his car went off the road and into the ocean. Lea Hernandez has written a short piece about the man at The Great Curve.

It looks like October 18 is going to be an even bigger day for DVDs as The Legend of Zelda 3-Disc set also hits stores that day.
A fun parody cartoon that gives us the rundown on House of M.
Hell, while we're at it, why don't you go ahead and watch X-Men : Death Becomes Them and then X-Men : Dark Phoenix Rising.

Batman Begins is coming to DVD on October 18 along with Batman : The Motion Picture Anthology 1989-1997.
As you might have guessed, I'll be buying both of these.
Feel free to also pick up George Romero's Land of the Dead on DVD the same day.
Or pick up The Bruce Lee Ultimate Collection 5 DVD Set that day as well.

Doug has alerted me to two things:
1) This link.
2) That he's started his own blog.
My suggestion would be to check both out. I mean, Doug knows magic. I wouldn't want to make him mad... would you?
More Danger Mouse is on the way!
A clip from the upcoming Family Guy movie.
So, it's Ghost Rider.

So for those of you who don't already know, and might care, Maggie was in a really bad wreck yesterday.
Her hip/pelvis is broken in 3 places, she's got broken ribs, kidney and spleen lacerations, stitches in her arm and face. Thankfully, she doesn't have any brain or spinal damage.
What's worse though is that she doesn't have any medical or auto insurance.
She's not going to be able to walk again or leave the hospital possibly for months, which means she's not going to be able to work.
As you can imagine her medical bills are going to be very high.
Also, the people that hit her (with their SUV) may try to sue her.
She's looking at some serious financial peril.
So, I'm giving you heads up now that I'm going to be trying to put together a benefit show (or shows) to try to help her out with these bills.
This just happened yesterday, so I haven't started getting into the logisitcs of it all yet, but I have every intention of making it happen.
If you would like to be involved or think you could help, please let me know.

Good DVD news for DC Comics fans : Part 1. Part 2.
Why not go and read Michael Chabon's 1995 pitch for a Fantastic Four movie. It's an interesting read.

Is there an 80s theme song you haven't heard in a long time? Well, this place has them all. No, seriously. I think they have them all. I'm not just talking about show either, I'm talking about commercials and who knows what all else.
