I'm man enough to admit it.

And while I hated that they did it, it did raise the stakes and I sort of enjoyed the downward scoundrel spiral it sent Han Solo on.Dylan Toddhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15550687762896316858noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3363122.post-14825700949600463912008-05-01T11:15:00.000-05:002008-05-01T11:15:00.000-05:00They dropped a moon on him. You notice the one character they kill is the brown non-human one. That's right, Star Wars is speciest.thomashttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04857459230883445729noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3363122.post-5392880327136049172008-05-01T09:50:00.000-05:002008-05-01T09:50:00.000-05:00Dylan - "Completist OCD"? I blame Mild Completist OCD. Some of it (NJO) is pretty good. Some not so much. Plus, they killed Chewie.

I justify it by saying it's "research" for the awesome Lando Calrissian story I'll write someday. Otherwise I cry my self to sleep. It's not pretty.Dylan Toddhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15550687762896316858noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3363122.post-88425408744407911542008-05-01T01:42:00.000-05:002008-05-01T01:42:00.000-05:00Oh there is TONS of awesome EU stuff, in fact, mos...Oh there is TONS of awesome EU stuff, in fact, most of the prequel era stuff is really good. The OT era stuff not so much because it seems no one can get the main casts voices down right. But the stuff about the peripheral characters can be great.

Best jumping on point for the Star Wars Republic comics by Ostrander. They are GOLD.

And Dylan: Every NJO book? Really? I couldn't make it past the third. They just really didn't feel like Star Wars to me.thomashttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04857459230883445729noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3363122.post-14638382034095485052008-04-30T13:54:00.000-05:002008-04-30T13:54:00.000-05:00That has always been my fear.. well, that and befo...That has always been my fear.. well, that and before the prequels I was always afraid the EU stuff wouldn't be as good as I expected Star Wars to be.
I bought "Han Solo At Stars' End" when I was a kid and could never bring myself to read it.chrishaleyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06062262593718888325noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3363122.post-17839845590104736642008-04-30T13:05:00.000-05:002008-04-30T13:05:00.000-05:00I DL'ed this yesterday, though I don't know if I w...I DL'ed this yesterday, though I don't know if I want to start getting back in to the Star Wars Expanded Universe after reading Every.
